The Pac and Big conversation has become annoying. The way we act like no one can pass them is very strange. It’s like people hold those opinions just to be safe and to be careful about how their opinion is viewed. And a lot of their influence is due to the fact they died young.

Pac was already beloved worldwide before he died, so you're incorrect regarding Pac. However, I agree with that sentiment regarding Big.

Pac had put out 2PacalypseNow with the singles Trapped, Brenda, If My Homies Call - all got major buzz. When Keep Ya Head Up, Holla If You Hear Me and I Get Around dropped - he was becoming a worldwide superstar. By the time Me Against the World dropped - he was solidified. Then All Eyez On Me - he was the biggest rapper on the planet, and still alive. Let's not rewrite history. After he passed and Makaveli dropped - it only further solidified his musical greatness, and the legendary status remains not because of his death - but because his catalog is exceptional.

Common might rhyme better than Tupac Shakur now because he has been doing it for longer than Tupac but Tupac had an edge which enabled him to bring hip hop to the world hence he is better because a lot of people in the world would not be interested in rap if Tupac just stuck to acting. Panther power, tears of the clown and who do you believe in just to name a few songs are way better than any conscious song common ever did.

Leroy said it’s not fair to put Pac above cats who have 20-30 years of music. I can make the argument that Pac has that much music in a 5 year span. Just go check the catalog. What they did in 3 decades he did in 5 years. And placing Common above Pac is just your fan heart speaking for you. Imagine thinking that Common’s importance, impact, catalog/songs, and influence is superior to Tupac Shakur. This is what happens when fans get platforms to speak on. The lack of objectivity never ceases to amaze me

@TheRealLeonardWashington when Leroy doesn't want to stand behind his lunacy fanatic comments, he calls people that are telling the truth about him liars. It's desperate and pathetic. The fact of the matter is Tupac is a better artist than Common and most other rappers, and it's the industry, other artists, and the general public that have made that decision. Mike you said it’s irresponsible to say Canibus beat LL but what you did was worse. You set on here and said Canibus only has one diss record towards LL. Meanwhile I literally just got done listening to Rip The Jacker (another LL diss). You also painted this narrative that Canibus was clout chasing with 2nd Round KO. If I have a bar in my verse on your song that you think is a diss (even tho that wasn’t the intent of the bar), and I remove the bar out of respect. Only for you to strike back at me anyway and dedicate your entire verse to me over something I just corrected. How is me responding to that clout chasing? I have never heard this narrative ever until now. Ron is right. That’s not what happened for us in real time. Even Method Man and Redman said LL was tripping about that when they talked about it on the Beef DVD. The revisionist history is crazy. And LL didn’t end Canibus career. Canibus was blackballed. Had nothing to do with what LL did lyrically

@@redtwinlightsaber9915 it doesn’t matter at all because Canibus had an audience. Might not have been the same as LL’s but he still was gaining traction. And people still listened to Jay after Ether.
