I don’t think it’s really fair to try and discredit Dre by saying a lot of those samples were relatively unchanged. Being a producer is about working smarter, not harder. Besides, a lot of iconic beats are just sample loops. The Alchemist comparison too is kinda weird since a lot of Alc’s beats these days are pretty undercooked. Some of them don’t even have drums.
