I started to play over 50 years ago (just out of high school) just started again a few months ago. Purchased a little FR1x from Crown Music in AZ and luv luv luv it. Light weight (I’m 75) and that little 1x does wonders!! Totally amazed at its sound and capabilities!!

Hi Ronnie. I’m 75 and am self teaching!! I played trombone for over 8 yrs when I was young which is my only musical experience besides great music teachers during k-12. I took music theory in college and that’s the extent of my music education. Anyway I bought a small Roland a few months ago and enjoying life once again. (Even though I realize I suck at it I love the learning process)!!!🤗💟

This lesson is made so easier to follow. this is awesome. i am teaching myself how to play the accordion from the start and this makes much more sense. Can you recommend something on how to use that bass section?

I started learning to play the accordion after watching your five accordion lessons. Will you make any further video lessons? Would you cover the preferred fingering to play C bass, G bass, E counterbass. Is the E counterbass played with the 3rd finger or the 4th finger?

I recently found a old Scandalli accordion at house I'm cleaning out but I played it a few weeks ago and it worked fine. Today I tried to play it but it is now so hard to open and close that I couldn't play it. Is there a way to loosen up how hard it is to pump?

Sounds like the valves are stuck so probably very rusty inside, specialist job to repair. It should move if you press the release button, the single button near the strap on the bass side.
@daisyduke74733 жыл бұрын
have you tried the bellows adjustment circular type knob on the accordion?? should be a circular/twistable knob usually at the bottom of the instrument. maybe some are at the top....????
@MikesTrainsandTravels3 жыл бұрын
@@daisyduke7473 Hi. I took the accordion to a repair shop and they found a part inside that broke. It was going to be expensive to fix so I sold it to the shop. I'm a piano player but always had a hardtime playing the left hand parts on the accordion. Too many small buttons. I'll just stick to playing my piano.

where can I buy accordion? interested to learn
@adrianpolley94194 жыл бұрын
Obvious places, e bay, Craig's List if your in the USA, thrift shops ( we call them charity shops here in the UK ) or local free ads. Always best if you can try before you buy as repairs , tuning etc can be expensive. As a rule of thumb, look for air leaks, ie , is there reasonable compression of the bellows, make sure all the keys and buttons work and sound in tune, look for damage in case it's been dropped, and if there is rust on the bellows corners or a really musty smell, probably best to avoid it. Start with at least a 48 bass if possible and then you can progress from there, hopefully. Hope this helps, good luck.
