Nope. Lansing for all of them. I was in GR recently for my Davenport graduation (MAcc, yay) though.

Any advice for Roger + Gleim? Roger has great lectures; Gleim MPQs and SIMS are a bloodbath...

That's how Gleim is... it builds you up by tearing you down. I would read the Gleim notes first, then try the initial chapter mcqs, then watch a lecture (gleim, roger, or even farhat if I were really confused). Then I'd do one or two rounds of mcqs, then sims, and then either keep going or stay put depending on performance. I had wiley's test bank also. I'd use it as add on near the end, for fresh questions (but Wiley is less challenging). Gleim hurts, but I scored 10+ points higher on actual exams... so the pain works.

How many hours did you study for Reg? Please reply

About 120, but I did have to take a 6 week break in the middle so some of those hours were due to inefficiency from having to restart. Also, tax does not come as naturally to me.

Did you find that Wiley's test bank questions were indicative of actual exam difficulty? Also did you study sims or just MCQ's? Thanks

For FAR and REG, Wiley was very close to the actual. I did both mcq and sims.

Wiley was great for FAR. Gleim was just tougher, but similar in content. For REG, Wiley is solid with mcq but doesht have enough sims. Gleim has 10x more reg sims. However, REG is an exam where mcq should be heavily favored over sims anyway (in my opinion).

I've heard it suggested that for FAR(and I'm assuming other sections as well) that practicing sims is sort of a waste of time because of how many possibilities there are, and that just practicing MCQ is sufficient to learn the concepts that will be applied to the sims. Do you agree with this?

Not in full. Gleim's sims for FAR helped me a great deal. But that's mostly true for audit and reg. BEC is somewhat true, but I'd do the cost accounting sims because it's so important.

how long did u study for REG? I have one-month full-time study time and not sure how to handle those 4 weeks to pass. I'm using Becker

That would be dicey for me. I needed one full month and 2 half effort months, with a roger cram on top of gleim, to eek out an 87.
