I just came across your channel as I am trying to prepare to retake my Financial Accounting. I am intending on going back to school and pursuing a Masters in Professional Accounting, but my undergrad is in Psychology. I'd love a video on the Allowance for Doubtful Accounts and the typical entries that increase and decrease that account. I'd love some examples of transactions that would impact that account. A good way to explain prepayment being an asset is that when you sell a car that has a years worth of registration, you can charge extra depending on how much the rego for that term would cost. You can include most prepayments in the sale amount should you sell your business, therefore an asset.

It's great to hear that you're getting into finance! Inventory is a current asset because the intention is convert it into cash within one year. Fixed Assets are held onto for longer time frames
