Very helpful video. I would be traveling soon to London and was confused on the airline to use. I would definitely go for Turkish airline. I want to find out if an hour and 50minutes layover is enough for me to get on the next flight or I might miss due to the walking distance to catch the next flight. Thank you for watching and for the lovely feedback. Yes definitely it’s enough to catch the next flight. You just have to be fast as soon as you land at Istanbul and make your way to find your gate as soon as possible. It’s better to find your gate and see when you will board the next flight and when there is time you can do other things like explore the airport etc. sometimes you’ll get to the gate and they’ve already started boarding or just about to start boarding so you have to be fast. Enjoy your flight 🙏🏽

Hi 👋🏽 Not sure if I understand your question are you transiting through Istanbul only? If yes then time is ok 👍🏾 if you’re not sure pls contact the airline or ask the airline official at the Austria airport to confirm before you fly. 🙏🏽thanks

Ples Ghana immigration what at all do they request when checking in because when I was coming to 🇦🇪 they didn’t ask for anything only the printed visa n my passport so want to know if it’s different from those going to Europe

You need to fill an immigration form (which requests for personal information and travel details in brief) at the airport then they’ll input that in their system as well as take your passport details. That’s all they did at the time I traveled from Ghana to Europe at the airport.

Hi Robert, overall it wasn’t bad at all. The plane from Ghana to Istanbul didn’t have charging ports so I hardly used any personal device like phone etc. since I couldn’t charge them just in case. Which of their food options do you like most?

How did you book the ticket? On their app/website or through a travel agent? And how much roughly did you pay?

I used a travel agent but it’s always advisable you book ahead of time to get the best deals and also to book with the airline so that in case of any emergency or changes or refund the airline can help better and faster than the agent.

No you don’t if you’re traveling from Ghana to Uk and will be transiting at the Istanbul airport only. However if you’re transiting two airports At Turkey eg. Istanbul airport and Antalya on the same trip you will need a transit visa because you will have to leave one airport and enter the country ie Turkey before you can go to the other airport to catch your flight to UK.

No you don’t if you’re flying with Turkish airlines. I didn’t need one when I traveled through Istanbul from Accra to London because Istanbul is not part of the Schengen countries.

@@akuaawuah1110 I think it depends on the purpose of travel dear if it’s school I think it’s required but for visitors it’s not if you’re traveling to London.

What if there are 2 stops within Turkey before London. Flight I am looking at says Istanbul and Dalaman. While trying to book, a message pops up that says i need a visa. Did same happen to you even though in your case it's only Istanbul you stopped at? Did you book on their website or with an agent?

@@akuaawuah1110 if they’re saying you need a visa then it means you have to claim your luggage when you arrive at Dalaman, exit the airport and travel to departures then re check in again. This mostly happens when it’s a multiple flight situation meaning you will use a different airline from Dalaman to London. However if it’s the same airline (Turkish Airline) and you are not required to check out your luggage but just wait in the airport then a transit visa is not required. However if non of this information is helpful kindly contact the airline to confirm before you fly.

Hello Madam, Please when traveling from Accra to London through Istanbul,would you need to check out your luggage before you move from Istanbul to London with a Turkish airlines.. The airline says one stop please and that is at Istanbul. Thanks

Hello Kwadwo, You don’t need to checkout your luggage if it’s only one stop and you’re transiting only at the Istanbul airport. Your 2 luggages which goes under the plane will be ready at your final destination which is London. No I didn’t because I only transmitted at Istanbul airport. But you would need a transit visa if you will transit in more than one airport at Turkey eg. Istanbul airport and Antalya airport in one trip.
