I think the product does a lot of what I'm personally looking for on my 2nd camera or when I want to build out something more light weight. I'm still rocking internally recorded H.265 of a pair of Canon R3 bodies and it works well for me. All the monitors in this $150-250 price range feel pretty plasticky and poorly built with a monitor that's typically inaccurate. NOTHING can be done about HDMI lag. That’s why I think camera mfrs are missing an opportunity to add value to their cameras by bypassing HDMI altogether and creating apps that will let you tie into the camera’s low-level functions via their USB ports similar to the way that tethering is already accomplished. Not only would you have super low latency image feeds, but you could also incorporate camera controls onto the phone’s or tablet’s touch screen.

I'm looking forward to picking up the Android version of this (the M1), but there's something I find funny about the fact that I only found out about the M1 due to all the major review outlets covering the SeeMo because it's iOS. I tried looking for reviews of the M1, and the only one I could find on one of the major (by my estimation) review channels was from Gordon Liang.... almost 8 months ago. I'd love to see more of y'all cover the Android version since their software works even with older Android phones (which apps like, for example, Monitor+ do not). I, for example, still have two Pixel XLs (the original) that I intend now to use as small studio monitors for making KZbin videos, and those phones can be picked up for about $50 now, if someone wants a dedicated setup without using their primary phone. The same is true, obviously, of older iPhones, but I'm not sure how compatibility works in that scenario, and older iPhones tend to be more expensive than older Android phones.

I have to disagree with the Sigma 1.4 recommendation. I have all three, and they're great photo lenses. I especially love the 56mm. All three have significant focus breathing. The AF on the 30mm can make clicking noises at times, and the aperture actuator on the 56 is super loud. I wouldn't go after full frame glass, unless you have another full frame body. While the 16-55 is steep, full frame lenses will only be bulkier and not have as useful of a zoom range. Granted, that all depends on what range you need.

180$ +NPF cost? Way to much. Zcam ipman gemini does very similar things for Android and it's almost a third of the price and doesn't require an external battery. 200$ for this and you might as well just buy a monitor.

Accsoon M1 for Android, $99. SeeMo is for iOS. Isn't Apple's screen better than Android or monitor? iPad mini is great.

Definitely interesting but for the price there's so good cheap monitors out there
@nkisystems2 жыл бұрын
SeeMo is not just a monitor. Recording and live streaming will be very costly if you also get dedicated hardware. It's really 4 devices in one: a production monitor that you can load 3D LUTs from the cloud, an HDMI recorder that you can edit and share directly, a live streaming device with built-in wireless connections, and a camera viewfinder.

180$ is basically now the price for not having a flip-out display
@appaccsoon43982 жыл бұрын
Yes the App support flip-out display, just need to tab a small button. The App has all the festures that traditional monitor have.

I call it BS: Andycine, Feelworld, etc. having 5.5 to 7 inch monitors priced around the same ballpark. That crap-looking piece of white plastic - that can't even grab an iPad - costing almost 200USD?... and you still need batteries and cables on top of that...

Oh awesome, hardware that relies on an app to function, 3 or 4yrs tops and the hardware will be completely redundant because the manufacturer decided not to update the app. Or even sooner if Apple decides to release a major iOS update that breaks everything or removes existing functionality.
@philipbloom2 жыл бұрын
The whole benefit of this product is their incredible monitor app.
@MrAllstar2 жыл бұрын
@@philipbloom Thanks for reinforcing the point I'm making, many companies have a habit of not maintaining the companion apps for their hardware a year or 2 after release, at which point the great hardware you paid for becomes obsolete.
@philipbloom2 жыл бұрын
@@MrAllstar that was not my intention. I've been using Accsoon video transmitters using their app for 4 years and they are just going from strength to strength. If you are using the Android version then you can use other apps, as there are no other devices like this for iOS this is the only app that can see a video input. I am really not sure what you expect from a device which is specifically made for iOS, of COURSE it is going to need an app, how else do you think it's going to work?
@philipbloom2 жыл бұрын
@@MrAllstar Before making such comments perhaps it's worth doing a little research on the history of the company with their hardware/ apps? My original CineEye works with the latest app. There will be a shelf life though without question, at some point Apple will stop making iPhones for example! If your $170 investment has to be a lifetime one then perhaps you need to buy a monitor? A piece of hardware that if it goes wrong once out of the warranty period then it's a paperweight. You are after the impossible.

My advice: Save 600$ on your phone and buy a nija and a "cheapo" 700$ android device. And save 179$ @ the end to invide your girlfriend.

utterly useless. I had my phone died in a middle of a important livestream and had find out hard way and loosing a client now very angry with me. I wish you people who review these products say something about this important information instead of sucking up the companies who just lie abut a product that isn't ready to market. and your credibility as KZbin goes down with it. here's what they told me when I asked, Hi Rasika, The SeeMo does not provide power to your iPhone while being used. This is a limitation of the USB 2.0/Lightning port. Best, Mike
