Cash flows must show sign, and for the period must be net of cash in cash out and net of any tax implications. If you watch the series beginning to end I cover all this is great detail.

This is super helpful! If you're running projections over several years, would you have to discount the future cash flows before calculating payback, etc?

Hey, love the videos. Great tools to brush up on the corp finance. When you refer to cash flows in these chapter 8 examples are you talking about the NET cash flow (ie cash in - cash out) for the paticular time period?

Actually I have a question, I'm working in months for Time. Do I need to make any necessary adjustments to the RRR or IRR at all? Is this an annual rate?

Thank you. but how to calculate the irr for this problem. discount rate is 10% ( you have an investment of 100000$ (year 0 or base) and for 1st year cost 10000 , benefit 25000 . 2nd year cost 10000, benefit 50000. 3rd year cost 10000, benefit 50000.4th year cost 10000, benefit 50000. 5th year cost 10000, benefit 50000. thank you
