It probably is, it's FSX that's a fucking mess. A2A stuff really runs quite smooth considering. So long as you stay away from pointless crap like ORBX and Rex etc. I bet you could run this, it's great too, shame it's so expensive. You'd be better off building a microlight and flying for real.

The guy doing the VO sounds like Jimmy Kimmel. I like his voice though. Unbelievable airplane, the systems simulation is really detailed, and the passion they have for the P-51 is clearly evident.

Did anyone else notice that the temperature gauges turned off at the end after he landed? I couldn't really tell but the battery and generator switches looked on??? All I know is that I love this plane, and am going to buy the b17 flying fortress very soon.

Damn it! Its a shame that this awesome program does not work on my simulator. Dont know why. If I start up the engine, at the point which it should turn, the screen freezes and the whole simulator reports an error. Damn! Looked forward to this one but, well. Anyway, great software. Scott...I was so impressed with the demo that I went ahead and purchased the download version fo the P-51 for FSX...installed it and ran the program...and woa! the plane just displays the cockpit area with the pilot...I uninstalled FSX and tried it again and it still displays a "phantom" P-51 with just the cockpit area displayed...who can help me out with this??? . . .thanks in advance . . .

Have a question folks. I have FSX Deluxe edition in german. I bought the A2A P-51 WoP and added it to the FSX. When I run the FSX, the P-51 does show in the list of aircraft, except that I am only able to the see the cockpit section with the pilot seating in it. No fuselage or other structures is visible. When I play the simulator, the only thing that I can see is the black silhouette of the aircraft. When I switch to the inside cockpit view, the whole cockpit is dark and only visible when I flip the light switch on and the instrument gauges are not visible at all.As you all can see, I have a myriad problem with the A2A P-51 software. The FSX is set with all the recommended settings for this aircraft and I reloaded many times in an attempt to fix the problem, but without success. Does anybody can give some tips what could be the problem, please. Your help is very much appreciated. Thanks.

I have the military version of the a2a P-51 and I love it. The only thing I'm trying to figure out is that whenever I engage the starter, the mixture moves by itself; which is fine because it starts up, but I would like to move the mixture myself. Any ideas why? I don't have the Accu-Sim with it, thats the only thing I can think of.

+Jacob Evans Jacob, Check the Aircraft realism settings. It sounds like you have the "Auto-mix" enabled. If so, disable it. After you do that, remember that if you're on a high altitude airstrip and you go to start the plane, slip that mix lever back about 10-15% per 3500 feet of altitude msl. Do it right after the startup otherwise, you'll run too rich and she stall on you and get harder and harder to start with each time you forget. Rich

I Know your problem because i had it too :( .The first think you have to do is completely unistall fsx and all your addons and the next time you will install it place it in an other folder(!!not programm files!!) and every time you install a new addon run its as administrator.Good Luck :)

It's impossible for me to take off with this plane and only with this plane. I can't control the rudder of the plane during ground handling. Even taxiing is impossible. I checked my joystick's calibration, follow the checklist, use differential braking and bring the power up gradually but no matter how much I counter steer with my rudder and/or braking it doesn't help one bit. Under ~33% power it'll only go right uncontrolably, anything above that it'll only go left uncontrolably. I've never had this in any plane before. I tried looking for a tail wheel lock and whether that was the problem but couldn't find anything. If anyone knows how to fix this would you please be so kind as to help with this problem.

Get the longest possible runway you can find and practice getting it in a straight line, Also no wind, and start slowly, very slowly, gently on the controls, and keep that stick pulled back a little back so you don't get too much rotation on your tailwheel

I think it is down to a faulty install of the plane and/or FSX. I'll have to figure that out later on. IDK how at home you are with (sim) racing but IMO it's almost like trying to take a Top Fuel dragster and drive it like a WRC car... We could also carry on talking in Dutch as I assume you're Dutch. I'm not able start it. I'm doing everything correctly but there's absolutely no life in the engine because I for some reason can't apply any hydraulic fluid, coolant, aftercooler coolant, or lubrication oil. But the weird thing is it's only the civilian Mustang. HELP please.

Have you purchased the Accu-Sim for the P-51? In order to service the aircraft, you need it. Be aware also, that you need to install the FSX SP1 and 2. I had the same issues and solved doing what I am recommending you to do here. Good luck.
