Furret also has a 'just a really long cat' vibe. In a series as wild as Pokemon, the idea of owning a Furret seems a lot more reasonable compared to owning a Charizard for example. All that fire and being responsible for anything that gets burnt? It'd be way less hassle to train a happy smiling tube of fluff. There's something inherently comforting about the idea, which appeals to people in these chaotic times. (This also seems to explain why Furret content is generally wholesome--fans have come to view it as a 'good boy,' not unlike a really large dog.) Also, Accumula Town has a melody that is very easy to sing on its own, so this makes it easy to repeat it on your own, in the same way a lot of video game music tends to be.
