Accused Carjacker Crashes into Dump Truck During Reckless High-Speed Chase

Dashcam footage shows the moment a carjacking suspect spun out of control and crashed into a dump truck while fleeing Maryland deputies on June 29. The Charles County Sheriff’s Office said the suspect allegedly assaulted a woman before stealing her car and leading deputies on a reckless high-speed chase. The suspect died on the scene. I feel bad for the dump truck driver - thank God he’s physically ok, but the mental injury will live a long time, probably the remainder of his life. I also feel bad for the woman who owned the car - thank God the thief didn’t force her to go along for the ride. Her mental injury will also probably last the remainder of her life, as well. Two people in the wrong place at the wrong time and they both survived. My hat is off to the officers who do this dangerous stuff every day. I don’t know how you do it - you are all very special men and women, and I can’t ever thank you all enough for what you to keep peace and the safety of the people in our communities.
