I was abused by my older brother when I was young, I know very well the damage it does. To this day, my brother and I have no relationship, and I don't trust him around any girl or woman because of what happened almost 30 years ago. For some reason, sibling s³xual abuse is disregarded by many, blown off as "kids being kids or kids being curious," and it's not always treated in a way that brings any protection or justice for the victim. Let me be the first to tell you, having an older sibling try to force his fingers into your child body is NOT just a kid being curious. What's really sad about this story is that it seems like the mom might have known her son was guilty. I'm sorry son or not that is not okay and she shouldn't be so quick to stand by him. She needs to be protecting the little girl first of all and get her son some professional help. What a sick puppy and the fact he works at a school is horrible.

See I was 50/50 with Aiden until he came out .. he was too passionate but in a very weird, defensive way and initially I thought ok it's because he was accused and questioned but as it went on and the finger started pointing towards the Dad he seemed to almost enjoy it too much, playing up to it "at this point I don't know what he's capable of"... At that point I knew he was lying, as for the Mum... You were so quick to believe that your son hadn't molested your daughter but not quick to believe her daughter when she said Aiden did it... Honestly I really hope the Mum presses charges against her son but tbh I don't think she will and I hope her daughter and son get proper therapy to help them get through this AND I hope from the bottom of my heart that Aiden loses his job at the school AND gets some help because he's a sick man and needs the help before any other child is hurt.

As a recent law school graduate, all I can say is that this whole “blame game” process is horrendously and legally flawed…most lay people in society have no idea about the legal process behind lie-detector testing, and Steve here doesn’t either. I respect him a lot for how he tries to help people and families get themselves together & get them help, but to continuously look at this Aiden dude and say that he’s definitely guilty of this crime based on one lie-detector test and literally no other evidence (physical or circumstantial) is like 100% improper from a legal standpoint. Lie-detector tests alone are NOT legally allowed to be used as the sole source of evidence that someone committed a crime. Lie-detector tests are-most importantly-NOT admissible in a court of law to be used as evidence of guilt. So even if Aiden was taken to trial on this sexual molestation case against his sister, these very lie-detector results would not be admitted, and the jury and judge would NOT be viewing OR considering the results of the test from this show, or any other lie-detector test Aiden might take. This is because lie-detector tests are not 100% accurate, and plenty of people who have failed initial lie-detector tests have been found NOT GUILTY once actual admissible evidence was discovered (usually DNA and physical/circumstantial evidence). I’m not at all saying that Aiden did or didn’t do it, and I’m not saying Steve (father) did or didn’t do it. The only thing that’s seriously concerning in this episode and others that I’ve seen is the use of a single lie-detector test to accuse someone of a heinous crime (esp. on television) without any input or participation from law enforcement (investigation materials, actual detectives, r*pe kits, etc.) or medical professionals. I really wonder why the details of the investigations of these crimes (or at least documented evidence from police that shows these people actually DID file police reports & didn’t just claim they did) weren’t mentioned or produced for the audience. Because one lie-detector test is certainly not enough conclusive information/evidence to prove anything at all in this case 🤷🏾‍♀️

If you were a law school graduate you would know that the details of an open sexual assault or molestation investigation are not public records and would never be given to the media. Even if the investigation was complete, the fact that it is a crime against a child means that all records would be sealed indefinitely. Only a judge could unseal the records. Also, since both the father and brother were persons of interest, the police wouldn't give the family details about the investigation. A lie detector is not admissible in court, however, it is a tool used by police investigators that can help them eliminate suspects and focus their investigation.

Not really. Lie detector tests are not admissible in court. He definitely is guilty, but it's the opposite of what you said. He almost wanted to admit it but then he thought twice about it and realized that if he admits it then he's going to jail, because it's a confession. So lying is actually keeping him out of trouble, unfortunately.

I believed the father from the opening clips. It bothered me that Steve and the crowd were so hard on him when he went on stage. Sorry, but a man who’s molesting a child is not going to be the first person calling authorities and reporting it. But a molester will absolutely try to cover their tracks by pointing the finger at someone else to get out of the hot seat. I feel absolutely terrible for the little girl, and while I understand the mother’s pain in light of the truth about her oldest son, I felt disappointed with her flat reaction at the results. Fingers crossed she actually responds to this and follows through to protect her minor children.
