Ether blew up game 1. The miss on the 8 was inexcusable. Even if he was 3 sheets to the wind. When I was 13 I first saw Keith play in person at The Maverick Club in Richmond, Ky in 1981 at the Clyde Childress Memorial. He smoked the winner's side and beat Earl hill hill in the finals. Next year he smoked the winner's side again and lost hill hill to Earl. Keith had a good look at 10-10 and got out of line and left Earl end rail to end rail and Earl jacked up, 2 stroked it like a world beater. Had whitey on a string. Those were great pool days. St. Louie Louie and Toby Sweet mauled the ring games all week. Toby won a boat load.

Hard to say because the conditions are so different. The cloth is so fast and reactive it adapts the way people shoot. The tight pockets woudl hurt him but the fast cloth woud help given his touch and ability to spin. At his best a guess is 800 plus . Top 10.
@paxconsciente3352 Жыл бұрын
@@jgallagher1359 the way the break is and stuff he would get destroyed tactically by the top 10, its a nice idea but theres no way man, the pockets are tight wouldnt just "hurt" him, they would slap his ass, they're 4 inches wide lol maybe he would win a tournament or two but he wouldnt be anywhere near as prominent as he was back then with 9 on the spot and bucket tables. keep in mind they still used simonis back then its been around for like 500 years, the tables were pretty fast.
@jgallagher1359 Жыл бұрын
@@paxconsciente3352 Earl Strickland is a 777 now. At 61. Scott Frost is nearly 50 and a 760. If the discussion is how would someone do being thrown into a Matchroom event straight from bar 80s condiitions…certianly an adjustment. But it's not like taking Judd Trump and putting him in a pool match. Just watch the video here. Keith has shots a lot of the top 10 only sort of has. No, he's not as accuate or as consistent of a ball maker but that was never his game. No matter what the pocket size he's still going to find ways to get out that other guys can't which was always his edge. Dechaine is 800 playing part time, I believe. From a style/game point of view that's about the best comp.

Yes. About five years after this event Ralf was offered a deal by Predator and he was with them for 16 years. His contract with Predator ended in 2023, and he's now brandishing an Arthur cue. Joss cues are still made by father and son in Baltimore, MD.

I {DO] think it's illegal (whether it'll be called or not is another story) to try to alter the point of the side. But it absolutely helps balls that are tight to the rail that have to sneak past the side get by the point. Especially when it's the OB that's passing the side pocket. I'd never thought about doing it for the CB.

Quite a few players can play will without using texbook fundamentals. But they are still making the balls and getting position, it's the outcome that matters not so much the process. You can get to the right result by using flawed processes, it's just easier to do it the "correct" way.
