Me too but I'm only 40. That was my father's generation and I envy you guys. The culture of music is today generally very different. Music was once culturally relevant had even political power. Bob Dylan is a good example. And the lyrics he wrote. It's alright ma is one of the most abstract and genius songwriting in music's history in my opinion. Razorsharp cynicism paired with an impeccable talent to see through society's layers just genius. I was very sad to know since I was a 90s kid that most of rock's history was long over when I was even born. But there is hope. Gen Z doensn't even like their own music they are increasingly listening to older stuff proving the people right who criticize today's pop music. Even Gen Z doesn't want any part of that and it shows in the numbers. Old catalog music is outperformin new music. And it is even worse: The market for new music is shrinking. I would recommend you to search and read the article "Is old music killing new music" written by Goia. Google it you will find it easily.

As a kid, I got into AC/DC heavily when Back in Black came out. I knew some of their earlier music but I didn't realize just how great it was until recently when I went back and listened to all of their Bon Scott albums. This was absolutely AC/DC on top of their game. Bon Scott is arguably the greatest frontman of all time.

I do not agree. Bon Scott was an great musican and singer, but the "pressure sound", which make AC/DC famous, has been a work of Brion Johnson too.
@Topnikko
@Topnikko 7 ай бұрын
@@italienreisender8557 without the groundwork that Bon laid for the band they never would have reached the same success with Brian. He does not possess the songwriting abilities, charisma, stage presence, and voice that Bon had. These are facts. And, Bon almost certainly wrote the majority of Back In Black. Creatively and commercially, they peaked with Back in Black and started to decline after that. Though I would argue and many others agree that Powerage was their finest album. Brian Johnson is a placeholder who did a fine job of keeping the band going all these years.

We're talking 4 1/2 hours of ACDC (...and Angus never stopped moving). They played every hit they had at the time (mid 80s) that you could think of. What rock have you been hiding under to be only just getting into AC/DC at 54? Hell, I'm 59 and have been listening to AC/DC since I was 10 in 1975 and this song is from 1976. Thank you ABC TV Australia for Countdown on Sunday nights before the 7pm News. Mark from Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺

Agree! I really like the extended intro to groove it up a bit. They should do that with more songs. Keep the original but ram it up a bit. 😀

I grew up in the Eighties during the "Satanic panic" years and remember how the high and mighty would denounce bands like AC/DC, Black Sabbath, and all the amazing bands during this time. But now looking band, this performance as an example, i find thses bands more wholesome, honest, hardworking then the politicians, powerful, and rich who sat in judgement against them. That certainly continues on thru today.
