My wife has a 74 super beetle convertible that I want to restore. Just have to build a garage first to put it in. You might want to consider using impact sockets instead of those chrome ones. Great video.

Here's your answer. You'll need adjuster plates on your beam though. Use the stock torsion bars in the upper tube of the beam, not through rods. Put some tension on the torsion bars with the adjuster, then use the trough rods on the bottom tube. You won't need to run as much air PSI to raise and drive the car, they will last longer and have a better ride.

That bug is so cool i would trade u 2-67 impalas for it ones a 4 dr sedan the other is a 4 dr hardtop the sedan is a parts car for the hardtop. Very cool bug.

Hot? I got 14 degrees...I'll take it. The "trick" on VW lug bolts is: Get your large punch and put it through the bolt hole in the wheel, and then into the brake drum. Slide the wheel on. Start your first bolt in a different hole.

Hi, I do have a 65 bug, is it only the air shocks you have on the beetle no other modification.

I have a few more mods done to it. The front has a narrowed beam, you don't need this mod ,it just moves the tires in for a better look and it helps with turning when driving low. Also it has dropped spring plates in the rear, youll need this if your going real low.

I have monroe maxx air but im not really impressed with the newer ones. The new ones I bought are already leaking. If you have the funds go with a air bag on a beam, thats what im gonna do. I think there ma785 all the way around, check how your front shocks mount you may need a different style , some mount with a stud on the top and others like mine mount like normal shocks.
