ACE COMBAT™ 7 on PS5 PSVR Gameplay with HOTAS.

Capture stopped halfway through the mission, but you get the idea. I have zero VR sickness, but this game puts that to the test. My stomach truly believes I’m pulling ten G turns and barrel rolling it’s wild the power of VR.

I would get VR for something like this, it's just a whole different experience. Unfortunately, getting VR for one game wouldn't really warrant the investment.

Nope, only playable with PSVR and only a few missiond. A full Ace Combat game with PSVR2 would be awesome. Because the few missions with PSVR1 are amazing

This game and racing Simulator games are the only reason I'm want to get a VR system. I have a buddy that has a VR system and he brought it over played both and it's amazing. But I think I'm going to hold out for the PS5/psVR2

Have the old ps4 and psvr with this game. I love it, first time I did get a wee bit sick. But I can usually fly around 1 hour or more then my neck is starting to hurt a bit. You say you have no problems at all with the game but is it enhanced in anyway? Or is it just exactly the same?

I’d say most games on the PS5 feel “cleaner and sharper” much like the jump from the PS4 to the Pro was. Going to the PS5 is like another step, but some games that are officially PS5 patched are multiple steps up like Blood and Truth for instance. I wouldn’t get a PS5 just for PSVR enhancements, but I would absolutely get a PS5 because it’s a PS5 then continue to enjoy your PSVR library and currently best possible experience. Not to mention you’ll be ready for the hopeful PSVR 2 since you’ll already have the console.

Unfortunately PSVR 2 is not backwards compatible with PSVR 1 games. I recorded this using PSVR 1 headset on PS5 using the supplied camera adapter Sony sent out for free around the launch of the PS5.

I just have a normal HOTAS 4 for PS4, works with ace combat and Star Wars ace squadron which are all that I’ve tested so far.

I have PSVR2 and j bought Wingman on the cheap.Its OK and does make u feel like you are flying a jet fighter but graphics are crap.If Namco release a PSVR2 Ace Combat 7 upgrade I would purchase no doubt as the Ace Combat series is the milestone to reach.

Kinda like going from PS4 to PS4 Pro...I’d say it’s another small but welcomed step again much like that. Other games that were officially patched are much larger leaps in improvements but obviously still barely scratching the surface of what PSVR and PS5 can do.

That’s right, you may only play AC7 on PS5 using PSVR1 and the “free” PSVR1 to PS5 adapter kit.

Depends on how much you already own, I was able to get the thrust master joystick for 30 bucks for PS4, already owned PSVR and Ace Combat goes on sale for 10 bucks often. The VR portion of the game is a short experience, but also an experience unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before.

There’s a mode within the game for VR. So the game loads up “flat” THEN you select VR mode from main menu. Hope this helps!

Hotas is a steep learning curve. AC7 is a good way to get a feel for it.

Its not the vr actually. The game renders on a lower resolution to keep the frames.
