However, I must mention that I have not yet seen Top Gun: Maverick due to unfortunate circumstances. The best part of Top Gun was when he said "It's Mihaly Time" it changed my life. I immediately went home, and worked out to become a college ball player at University of Texas. I then rejected a Pro Football career to serve in the navy just like my hero Maverick.

Mission Report At approximately 1800 hours, gunfire over Shilage Castle was reported earlier than the battle was expected to start. Ground troops from both side watched the skies as an F-14 Tomcat, the pilot believed to be Maverick from the mysterious Ghostrider Squadron, engaged an X-02S Strike Wyvern, the pilot believed to be Archange or more popularly known as Mister X by the airmen or more formal known as Mihaly, over the castle. Archange was seen to have a laser cannon type mount on the underside of his aircraft. Strider Squadron, who was already flying in, got there just in time to see Ghostrider shoot the final killing blow on Archange, finally grounding the legendary pilot once and for all. Ghostrider was then spotted flying off before any of Strider Squadron could catch up. Currently, some people are calling Ghostrider a "guardian angel" or "an angel of death" depending on which sounded better. This fight singlehandedly put the castle in Osean control without fail, due to the Eruseans not having enough nearby aircraft to engage Strider. After the fight was over, Cyclops Squadron arrived with the cargo transports and successfully grabbed all the resources needed. The investigation to locate Ghostrider has failed and nobody has heard anything from Ghostrider since the battle. Where did Ghostrider even come from is the question on all the troop's lips, but nobody has the answer

Gotta say, this was fun to watch. If PA had released an entire DLC mission that has Mav, Rooster, and the other pilots from Maverick participating in the actual movie mission, that would've been so much fun to play. Every time I go through the Cape Rainy Assault I try to go as fast as I can through the canyon in both the original and movie variants of the F-18 A just to be like Mav in the movie.

@@_Phantom_ I'm a real sucker for character driven mecha battles, which is why properties like Ace Combat and Top Gun are high on my favourite things of all time list, and clashing them together is a dream come true. It's genuinely impressive how you blended the two dialogue's together, and it's even more amazing how they don't even clash in tone or anything. All I can say is that it just works. Honestly, if Bandai Namco decided to crossover with Top Gun, it probably wouldn't be out of place at all. If anything it's a match made in heaven.
