He only ranked Ace so low because he was upset at the Twitter post. Ace is a solid pick by all means, range breach, counters bandit tricking, destroys shields, has a good gun, little weak when opening hatches but he can still open kaid hatches. His gadget picks are also weak as mentioned, but claymores are not garbage like he said, they can stop window vaults and run outs in a second. So yeah, keep playing Ace, he's good!

yep. If you need to make a hole into site that's not a hatch, there's no reason to pick mav over thermite unless you're amazing with him. Crouch holes simply are not as good as the entire wall being gone. When you make a crouch hole, there's literally one way to peek said hole and walk through. With a thermite hole, you can crouch or stand when you peek.

Ace is an incredible second breacher, that's for sure. I like Ace when used in the way Hyper and Rexen play Ace in NAL to frag and breach when needed. Of course all breachers are good, and I agree Ace isn't ''the best''. As someone who plays hb a lot, I can attest to the fact that they're all really good. I personally don't play Maverick though, because I'm not that good with him but I do intend to learn using him well eventually.

When I play mov I just do the hole in the wall and have teammates throw flashes to burn out jager and throw the nade. It’s easy to bait out a C4

One thing i'll add, while it doesn't change the tier list at the end of the video, is how much of a benefit it is for thermite and hibana to be able to manually detonate their respective hard breach tools. Sound is crucial in siege and when you're put in those 1vX situations it can be a game changer if you are able to place the exothermic charge/pellets, rotate, blow the utility, and approach the objective from a different angle entirely. Especially in lower ranks, players will hear the explosions and brainlessly push/rotate towards the loud sound. I really hope ubisoft adds support for this feature to the ops that have the hard breach charges

Yeah nah, less than a minute in and Pox is already hyping up Maverick. Whenever you pick Ace or Thermite (even in lower ELO) most people are willing to help out by going Kali/Twitch/Thatcher/Mav. I'd go as far to say that it's rare that they DON'T help, mostly due to the fact that the game is pretty old now and just about everyone has a grasp on how it plays. Regardless of how you play Mav, Ace or Therm will ALWAYS be more beneficial to the team. Notice how at 3:07 to 3:51 he is just fumbling around getting damaged with Mav turning it into a softwall just to abandon it cause his teammates already said "screw it" and decided to enter the building another way (because no one picked Therm or Ace). I understand Pox has a "formula" of playing Maverick better but the average person will not only will get themselves killed, they can't/will refuse to learn how to play him properly. Which overall means Ace and Therm are better for most comps. Also they are just more fun and convenient to play, rather than painstakingly torching down a wall relying on teammates to watch the slits so you don't die. No hate though I always come back to Pox's videos from time to time.

Bring Kali AND ace though is severely limiting the teams utility and that is simply a bad way to play, yes my team had abandoned me and this wasn't a great example it was just the footage I had on hand. BUT at the same time our team not having ace/Kali/therm gave us extra utility to not only put pressure by opening the breach solo as mav but have more nades and less waste to ultimately win the round. NOBODY plays Kali in the high ranks because it is a detriment to do so

I ring ace cuz I play mostly casual, so naturally I’ve gotten good at using iOS that are like a 7 in 1 Swiss (or should I say Norwegian) army knife. You can open up site, and while every hard breach has a good gun if I had to pick I would go with ace. They do pretty much the same thing, it’s just how they do it that differs. So at that point it comes down to who’s gun can carry your team best in a 2v5, and the AK12 won’t disappoint. If I’m playing with a stack I’ll go for other hard breachers but solo queuing I’ll pick the handyman ace. If only he still had smokes lol

Thermite is good cus how big the hole is he makes. Is it bandet trap but has wood floor? Put the thermite on ground next to it and it will destroy the bottom. Is there a mute? You can place it on sides or repel to destroy the tops where the mutes don’t reach.

Eh... I can't say I agree. You completely ignore mag size, which is a huge downside to Hibana. And of course, this all depends on how good you are at Siege, but her mag size combined with her recoil and the lack of aim assist on console makes her a lot harder to use. I completely understand all your points with Maveric, but honestly, more often than not I see him getting killed through the holes he made lol. This again depends on the skill level of the player, but that tier list wasn't made by/for pro players. It's for average players and it's pretty accurate. Ace is definitely the most reliable and helpful for average players.

I think you're wrong about thermite. My retired marine buddy runs thermite just about every game and we synchronize the sound of my zofia/ram assault and his thermite to make 2 areas close to each other so loud that our teammates can easily close off overwhelmed defenders or hold/push the breach under major stress. It doesn't sound like much but when thermite pushes big tower and pops it the same time two concussives are priming, attic gets cleared instantly. Especially with a front porch balcony push by another hard breacher attacking that big wall to cut off a massive portion of the 2f. I think thermite is a timing based operator and takes a clear gamesense vision of how to play out a twin-fang or multi-sided assault.

Maverick has 3 speed, grenades, m4 (1.5x), hard breaches with no counter, easy to open full walls will him. Easily the best hard breacher, if not attacker in the game. Between thermite and Ace, I think ace is better for opening up inside walls (kitchen on chalet for example) and thermite is better for opening up outside walls (CCTV on clubhouse, Garage in Chalet or consulate, etc.) because when you’re outside you’re already going to be relatively sage, where if you’re inside breaching from a safer spot, rather thank walking in the open, to risk not being killed is better. Hibana is the worst for walls but best for hatches like you said

Mav is the best in that you only stop him when he's DEAD. He's going to breach matter what unless he's on his ass. Hibana is great because she's almost a maverick light. Super versatile, but ranged. Ace is a murderer who happens to breach - like an Ash. Thermite makes big holes- WAY bigger than doorways. He's the best single breach as the OG, but he suffers as a result of being dedicated to blasting open walls big enough to level a small house.

I honestly feel like attacker repick ruined hard breach because it eliminated the guess work. Termite used to be the most versatile hard breach in that regardless of the site that needs a hard breach Thermite could do it. Especially prior to Hibannas change. Thermite was the best at getting big holes in walls, he could bait counter hard breach, he has smokes and flashes as well as a beast of a gun. He was just a great safe pick that could get the job done. Now sadly there's not much of a reason to run him unless there's a hatch that is electrocuted and is on a soft floor and maverick is banned. Sad to see the OG fall.

Technically they can all go in A Tier. They are providing tonnes of utility apart from eachother and that they are all able to do something powerful. They all have would guns and most decent gadgets, I don’t see why not, other than you have enough hard breach to blow a hole through the earth. Have ace be aggro and push and re-frag like zof or ash; have mav take out utility and get clean picks from the back lines, as he can go it alone and cause confusion and put pressure on from another front. Have hibana open up weird angles and flank. She could come from above and use her flashes or something, maybe even just make a small hole in a soft floor at that point you don’t need all that hard breach. And have thermite go for plant of cover flank watch. And have the fifth op take anti-roam or intel (or both). Gadget destruction wouldn’t be bad either, which would make Flores a strong pick bc he has some intel capabilities and can take out util. Or maybe let thermite take flank watch and go for plant with like a ying or something. That probably wouldn’t be the smartest but it could work. Or bring a finka to stim up your teammates and cover anti-roam. Or bring thatcher of if he isn’t banned. With all of these Ops having great guns, good utility (every type of ‘nade on attack), and a hard breach available I don’t see why this wouldn’t make a competent 4-stack. Sure your are lacking some things like intel but you have an extra slot open for something like intel or a flex role. That still does leave some weakness, but I’m sure that against anyone silver and lower it could work. Plus it eliminates the need for debate about which support is best.

So that does make sense Are has the best gun out of all hard breacheds but is balanced by less utility. Still who on the dev team thought it was ok to put an AK-12 on anything faster than 1 speed?

Zero should be added as situational with is smaller utility hard breach. Some areas he can get solo with his gadget, gonne 6 and hard breach utility

Dude zero is so underrated you can clear utility and open up walls with the hard breaches his cams for flank watch have saved my teammates so many times and his gun is solid

OK but with most of the population being casual / plat and below Ace is the best for more balanced casual play. So it's no wonder the community thinks he's the best. He's by far the easiest and straightforward to use. You need to get your headspace down with us here in the dumps lol.

I find hibanas recoil to just be natural to counter, ak12 it overcompensate and and swap. Hibs is just so violent on Xbox that with my dead zones and whatnot it just works really well, git good gun feel

Mav is god in my opinion Pretty good gun, has grenades, no counter unless he die And he's 3 speed, which has light footsteps and faster, perfect at rotating

My tier list goes a little something like this: Must Use: Solid Pick: Thermite, Hibana, Maverick, Ace Situational: Because every hardbreacher has their own strengths and weaknesses that the others don't have an issue with. For instance, Thermite is a soft counter to mute and has objectively the best hardbreach in the game +smokes. Hibana can open 4 and a half hatches by herself and is probably the most flexible op in the game. Maverick can open any wall/hatch regardless of denial +Frag grenades. And Ace counters Bandit and is the best hardbreacher for opening walls without entering the map +claymore. So while yes, I do agree that Ace isn't a must pick operator, I can't see any of them being considered "better" than any other hardbreach.
