This video shoot was the point where Malin/Linn started to distance herself from the band (see her only vaguely in the background here), and from the music scene. Just yesterday found a long fascinating account of her whole story. One can tell from their previous videos that she is special, gifted, demure, and super sensitive. She was sensitive about their too-fast ascent to stardom, the machinations of the music industry, some obsessive fan reactions, constant touring with her flying phobia, (hey, me too Linn!). She is contemplative & spiritual at heart...so that high pressure music industry life became too overwhelming for her. Apparently her hair is now dark and she has changed her name to avoid public scrutiny. She's still close with her family though. Anyhow, a great story....which makes her even more legendary, alluring, and mysterious. Linn Berggren spread happiness in the world with her amazing voice and beauty and attitude - she is an angel for our times!

I kind of remember at the time Ace Of Base came back and people wondered why she seemed more absent than before that the explanation was there was something wrong with her voice box making her less ability to sing. Like a cyst or whatever it was. I can't remember.

From a musician's stand point - sounding "good" is no longer valued, now there are too many artists who sound "good" so that doesn't help to get recognition or a following, what is sought in today's standards is to sound "unique" the synths used on newer songs are often detuned, to create unique tones because "real notes" have been used to the point where it's very hard to come up with something unique using said notes and chords.. try Polyphia - G O A T for a good example of how hard it is to sound unique with real notes these days... I am told these guys practice for 12 hours every day
