Day 29 - Ace of Cups
New week, new suit. We’re moving into the cups, starting with the #aceofcups as part of the #dropm78 #tarotchallenge by @mindful.tarot
Definition:
these are the early stages where the potential for love, joy, beauty, and happiness. Your cup overfloweth. It’s about spiritual fulfillment and about intuition.
Detail:
The detail that caught my attention today is the letter that is written on the cup. It could be the letter M, or it could be the letter W according to @bellwen in her book Holistic Tarot, this is the letter M in reverse, more specifically, the Greek letter “mu”, which is related to the Phoenician letter “mem”, which stands for water. And a tarot reversed cart often indicates untapped potential here we have a symbol for the potential energy of water (Emotions) coming forth and flowing out of the cup.
Discovery:
When developing a character for my fiction, writing this makes me think of somebody who is very romantic someone who wears their heart on their sleeve. It could also be someone actively looking for love. Maybe they do this through a dating app or with the help of a matchmaker.
Discard also speaks to me of someone with an optimistic outlook and sunny disposition.
The imagery makes me think of a kindergarten teacher.
Within a chapter, this card could inspire me to include the fountain in town, and my characters could go toss a coin into the fountain to make a wish. Or it could inspire me to have a pond or a lake with Lily pads.
The hand makes me think of someone giving advice and lending a helping hand in matters of the heart.
This card could also inspire me to write about a rainstorm about my couple getting caught in the rain and having to seek shelter. Or it could be about going swimming at the local swimming hole.
