I have been running the same hx1500i for over a year now and I have not once had my psu fan come on due to heat / load. And that's with a oc 4090 and oc 13700k. I have hwinfo64 open 24/7 and it never has shown rpm unless when I wake it from sleep it does a little quick fan kick up and turns off. Been a great power supply.

Nice build, i have a similar one but instead of 96GB 6400MT/s i got myself 48GB 9000MT/s from G.Skill as they cost the same in my country and for gaming i never needed more then 48gb. And surprisingly the 9000 MT/s Expo profile works with the X870E-E and 9800x3d after bios update.

Nice. 96GB is way overkill. I only occasionally need the extra size when I'm running a RAM disk, but with as fast as the T705 was, I'm not sure I even need that anymore.

Nice video at all bro. As I can see you seem to be one mature man. So we have here the first similar attribute. I'm 48 and a passionate PC Hardware builder and gamer. Currently running one redefined upgraded system. Specs are Montech King 👑 95 Pro case/ ASUS Crosshair VI x370 Hero WiFi/ Crucial Ballistix DDR-4-3600/ Ryzen 5700x3D/ KFA2 RTX 4080 S/ ThermalTake 850W/ 4x 120mm fans were included. Together with another 3x140mm ARGB fans. The case has some nice specifics. The front glass is curved. I was totally surprised by the high quality standards. All metal plates can be removed by fingers and hands. No extra tools required. The side and front glass is thick. About 1cm. The metal structure is massive too. All in one 18,4 kg weight. But for an empty case. With the massive GeForce card plus 2,5 kg extra. She has one really nice 👍 RGB lighting. This Model type was available without any RGB lights. For 50 bucks less. But I went for the lighting edition. I waited till the price sank. And got her for a decent price of 1049 €uros. The only thing I don't like so much is her short VRAM of 16 GB only. In some games 🎮 like FarCry 6 or Tomb Raider Shadow off, the high texture Packs needs over 11 GB VRAM. Nevertheless I have one more PC 😀 to upgrade. But I'll wait till the new RTX 5080 appears. If she would has more VRAM, and the prices aren't too high. I might take her. But if not, I might be waiting till the new Unified architecture of GCN and RDNA of AMD Radeon GPUs. The actual XTX is nice too. But her lag in RT is the Achilles Ferse. Her Raster Power combined with her large VRAM and Bandwidth of 380bit, is still very useful.

I want to copy your build exactly and I'd like to know if there would be anything you'd change now that you've built it. For example, since the second fan wouldnt fit on the Noctua NH-D15 G2, would you choose a different model and if so, which model? Or perhaps choose a different motherboard so that both fans could fit on the Noctua NH-D15 G2? And if so, which motherboard? Any other changes you'd make or additions?
@Distractor_Beam12 күн бұрын
If they had a LBC model with a single fan, I'd get that. I don't think that's an option. Everything else has been exceptional, and I chalk it up to now having an extra fan.

At 1:55 M.2 slot_1 does not share bandwidth with PCIEX16. M.2 slots 2 & 3 do share bandwidth with PCIEX16, so the primary M.2 SSD (not a hard drive) should go into M.2_ slot 1. That is located just beneath the heatsink that has the aluminum tubing and the ROG STRIX label. UPDATE: Apologies. I read your vid wrong regarding the M.2 slots. But yeah, slot 1 M.2_1 does not share bandwidth with PCIEX16. Updated here in case folks reviewing your vid do not get confused with my comment.

0:44 isnt 870 supposed to have usb 4.0 mandatory? also a question about the OS, Ive been using my pc for about 4-5 years, on an intel platform, and im now going over to a 9800x3D. If i just plug in my boot drive after swapping all the parts. will the machine boot as normal? just with a bunch of new hardware? or will I need to do a bunch of driver swaps/ reinstallations Nice build btw, I'd be interested to know how that air cooler handles the 9800X3D, im gonna be reusing my H100i pro (managed to find the am4/5 bracket in my pile of boxes lol)
@Distractor_BeamАй бұрын
Yes! The USB4 is on the back I/O panel, and it actually has 2 ports, where most x870 boards only have 1. I always recommend reinstalling Windows with a new build. My experience attempting to re-use an old install have been it locking up and needing to reinstall Windows anyway. You also may need to unlink the Windows key from the old motherboard. The air cooler is killing it. If you already have a H100i, then you may as well re-use it.

I have the same motherboard and g.skill ram 32 GB on the expo. I noticed that, like me, it shows you errors 33, 34 on the clock. For now, I'm using a graphics card integrated into AMD 9 7900x. Unfortunately, the system is not stable and the AMD graphics driver informs me that the time limit has been exceeded. Does a dedicated graphics card solve this problem? I will be grateful for the answer.
@Distractor_Beam19 күн бұрын
I've never heard of a time limit on integrated graphics. Are you talking about timeout? If you're gaming, I'd recommend a dedicated graphics card. Integrated graphics are good for workstations, or troubleshooting graphics card problems. They can work for some gaming, but they're typically a disappointment for anything modern.
@Edombaum18 күн бұрын
@ Yes, it's about timeout. I use an integrated card occasionally, because I'm waiting for a new generation of graphics cards. I was reassured by what you wrote, because I was afraid that this error could also occur with a dedicated graphics card. Thank you for your reply 😊
