Thank you for this great review, Fred! Those carving tips are great, and thank you for showing how important playing with a bushing setup can be. And just so you know, even S+ is tamed! By clicking 8 times the function button, you access the menu where you can change the acceleration curve, max speed, power delivery, and braking settings of each mode. And in S+ the speed up line is at 40% out of the box, to protect our riders. So, that acceleration test, and hill climb can be even faster!

Got this bad boy a week ago and i can honestly say, it's the best street board i have ever owned and ridden. Long gone my Nomad N1 shit experience and thought this will be a big difference and i can confirm it is. Smooth and beautiful to ride and the review is spot on about it.

As always Great Review Fred. Ive had this board for a couple weeks now. Youve touched on all the points and more. Yes the board is blazing fast but out of the box lacks the Carve. The bushing swap is key if you want more maneuverability and turning radius. I have yet to try the all white bushings and flip the washers. I did the swap of riptide 90A in front and 93a in the back and now it rides WAY better and so much more fun.

IT is a FANTASTIC board! I loosened my trucks a bit and it is still totally stable above 30mph. Love this board! I need to dig into the settings in the remote though to adjuts the performance. I would like a little more juice at takeoff in S mopde, and a little LESS extreme juice at takeoff in S+ mode. It is FREAKIN' FAST!

FYI extra grip tape is given at random, mine didn’t come with one. I reached out to acedeck and that’s what they told me. A bit disappointing but still the best board ever

Hey Fred! But how about the free rolling ? The gear drive is about free rolling as well. Not only easy way to change wheels you know it 😊

Hi Fred, I'm very new to esk8, and was just wondering - at 6:55 or so, you have pics of the bushings tightened. I was just wondering if you usually tighten the kingpin so that the bushing are bulging like that? Is that a common setup? I was looking for reference points on what is tight vs not (separately from durometer etc), and I had seen DKWAN mentioning to just go two full turns from the point of the washer being tight, but that if the bushing were bulging, it was probably too much. But your setup looks to have decent compression of the bearings, and that is very appealing to me as a beginner. I was purposely not tightening that much in case I was going to burst them, or risk threading the bolt/nut! Thanks for the great reviews - I'm planning on getting an Evolve after your recent Diablo vid! cheers

Yeah, you're not suppose to tighten the bushings so much that they bulge like that. This is definitely way too tight. Some bushings, such as Riptide's Krank formula, can be tightened quite a lot before it'll start to bulge, so it depends on the formula too. You should go up a hardness level in bushings if you notice that you have to tighten it to the point where they are bulging like in the video. Fred likely just needs to get the next hardness level of bushings but these are just what Acedeck provided in the box so he had to do what he had to do. Either that or get different shapes, such as fat cone or chubby on Riptide's website.

Could you please make a comparison against Ownboard Zeus Pro (P42a) I’m torn between the two for a street setup. X3s 50s cells apparently are not that good. I’m curious how they compare in size, thicknes and shape of deck and such.
@djwardlowentertainment90983 ай бұрын
Who says 50S cells are not good? They are pretty new to the market. They have good discharge and range unlike the m50 which the power output once you hit like 30% is lacking.
