i am catching up watching all your videos, i gotta say i really enjoy seeing you struglin with TV screens like we mortals do. I check every led light individually by scratching the tracks between them, you should try it, way easier. also i am one of those "7 min watch time" guys because i forget wich videos i saw and wich not so i cut a lot of them after a few minutes, don't mind that statics. also on the demonetization on youtube, remember that you say "stupid fault" a lot, that can be picked up by the algorithm for censoring. keep it real, a lot of youtubers will edit the video if they found out they forgot to unplug the battery like you did in this video, i really apreciate this 'real time' thing you do, I am learning very useful stuff from you because of all the process of finding the fault instead of focusing only on the repair. thank you very much Sorin. greeting from Argentina.

great teacher, was wondering about how a computer works, did a certificate in computer hardware engineering but i realized i did not have enough data to become a technician, i have since gone ahead to find more info, its amazing how computer works using gates 1s and 0s on/off of electric current to transfer data between the CPU and RAM using a Bus, this is why u said the only thing we can repair with laptops mostly is electrical faults and not data.....,,

Was about to ask how brexit and this truck driver problem happened, but got an answer already with this video. 🤔 I like to learn, how to fix things, but also I like to hear about Romanian history and how is it going nowdays in other places, like in GB. I live in Finland and from my 50+ year experiment view, world has gone a little bit off odd. Nice to listen You, many things You say, makes sense. Another good example of your expertise and knowledge, but a couple of things I was a little unsure about: I know that copper traces on pcb's are thin, but given the width of the trace that you cut, I'm not sure that the wire that you replace that section with was big enough? There were two vias in the section of trace that you cut out (possibly another one in the burnt bit?), which obviously went somewhere, so I would have thought the post repair testing would have been very rigorous, and checked that sound, camera, microphone, card reader etc. etc. still worked... At least then you could have said to the customer, well, 99% of it works, but the microphone or whatever unfortunately doesn't.

A while ago you said the most important thing in business is money and this is, of course, correct. Hence manufacturers don't want their products to last a long time (rubbish power connectors, cheap components etc) and want you to buy replacements (airpods, phones) regularly. Subscription for everything (music, TV, song matching, apps etc) ticks all the boxes (never-ending, recurring revenue). I read somewhere that Dell is moving to laptops as a service.

My Sony Z3 Compact phone had magnetic charging too. One of the first waterproof phones. It was also really small and easy to hold in the hand with screen-on-times of over 10 hours. The screen was LCD and really bright. At some point all smartphones became the same. There's literally no differences. 6"+, too big, strong and hot processor, edge to edge display, 4500mah battery, around 200g, glas on the backside, glued sandwich construction. Why buy one over the other? Companies are stupid.

32:30 omg, let someone buy a proper wires for this guy and send it to him. He used thin wire like hair, for main rail 3.45amper 65wats. What thickness has original wire inside charger cable? hmm? Where is your imagination Sorin? :-) 100% cpu usage, integrated gpu during game, battery charging and you thin wire will meltdown. You are lucky that this version of that model, doesn't have a dedicated gpu, because then it is 4.75A 90Wats.

Microsoft isn't considering. They are forced to. By initiatives like yours, rossmanns and many others. Rossmann is actually heavily lobbying on right to repair now. US govt is also mandating R2R by law now. And Europe is a bit behind but is also brewing something in that regard. So people and lawmakers are making it happen. Not manufacturers. They're just making it seem that way since they're losing that battle slowly but surely and now they want to make nice towards their customers, whom they've been robbing blind since their inception.

Apple are becoming very greedy and selfish . Who are they to dictate what you installed on the hardware you purchased from them . I recently replaced a screen on an iPhone 11 for my daughter and even that has problems as there is chips that tell the phone it’s not a genuine screen so you getting annoying message every time you switch it on ridiculous . You should have the right to do what you like and also the right to repair your own equipment that you purchase and pay full price from the charge enough for the bloody hardware and then they stop you installing software and repairing your own products that you pay for their a joke
