I had a broken Micro USB and was able to replace it and now its charging. The problem now is that the touch screen is not functioning. I removed the ribbon and place it back in and made sure it was secure, but it still unresponsive. The touch screen was working before. I did have to replace the micro usb twice because I damaged the first one. Do you think the heat used during the removal could have damage the board? I did use a heat gun to remove it, since it was very difficult with the soldering iron. Please give me your opinion. Edit: Removed heat shield and notice blown chip.

just remember to remove your sd card before putting everything together. i broke 2 sd cards after putting back the back cover.

I have one with broken touchscreen and I just ordered a spare part. I will make video but this will happens after 1-2 weeks. I check and I really can't find video exactly for this model. But touchscreen replacing is similar for most of the tablets from this class. Take a look at this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rJW0lZakeqtoZs0 The steps are the same: rear cover, disconnecting the battery and LCD / touch and other cables, removing motherboard and battery, removing the LCD display (careful) and finally - the touchscreen (most difficult operation).

You can try to reconnect the Touchscreen flex cable, but most probably you need a new Touchscreen.

Andres Solis If you mean the black connector fastener, put scotch tape on it when you lock the connector. I hope that the connector is not broken.
