Acer also announced that all configurations will have that same higher resolution screen. So, here's my question for you: Between the screen size, resolution, refresh rate, panel type, and aspect ratio -- which of these display features is most important to you when buying a new gaming laptop?

I'm a photographer and do editing as well as play some casual FPS games. For me, the panel type is the most important thing... It should be color accurate and does have at least a 165hz screen refresh rate for games. Should it be 1440p? If possible yes, though 1080p is fine.

@@kurtisrinker1202 Good question, I suppose laptop designers wanted to mimic the resolution of desktop setups, which discarded 16:10 for 16:9 since 16:9 is a balanced resolution for both productivity and media consumption. We see them stepping back now because people realized that not using valuable screen real estate on laptops with thick bezels is a huge waste from a productivity standpoint. 4:3 and 16:10 are superior laptop resolutions because they fit the form factor better.

The 16:10 aspect ratio is weird and outside of art design and games, it has only really been used in modern music videos and ‘90s/2000s Disney animated films like Aladdin, Mulan, Lilo & Stitch, The Emperor’s New Groove, and Treasure Planet.
