What sucks is the interweaving of a very solid theory with "oh I saw it in a dream... oh who knows what future latches will reveal." Etc. Ruins all of the fun. It was heavily implied that Sam was Firefly. The evidence was insurmountable, and youd have to simply brush off the deliberate ambiguitiy with Sam's gender (LC desc) and overwhelming similarity in color pallette, overlap in current evidence (Glamoth soldiers story and firefly story heavily overlap and the connection simply had to be made by the viewer) or not consider it. Which is totally fine. Most of us play these games to escape. Story was so good, people were so excited to get evryone on the sam page.... hyv comments will have people feelong shame and restraint hopefully.

The White Night trailer for Penacony literally shows Sam with wings and sparkles that are the same colour as Firefly's highlights. Also, their colour schemes are overall extremely similar and Sam literally uses fire to attack, whilst Firefly is quite literally called Firefly, amongst other things such as Firefly's dialogue on the rooftop and the fact that Sam didn't target us in that one cutscene in 2.0, and only targeted Black Swan and Acheron. The answer has been there all along to anyone who actually paid attention / thought for a second. I dont think leaks have anything to do with it.

Acheron is the kind of person who looks intimidating because of her skills (and rightfully so), but deep down, she's just a sad tragic softie who longs to be understood by others. Perhaps, she sensed the same kind of kinship she sees herself in, "Sam". Two notorious wanted criminals throughout the galaxy. "Sam" tried acting all menacingly in front of Acheron, but the facade fell through the moment he said he would kill "everyone", everyone except mentioning the Nameless Trailblazer. Hinting that, the person behind, "Sam", knows 'em, and wishes no harm to him/her.

JP Sam is polite, gentlemanly, and somehow feminine, though. So I immediately knew that Sam is Firefly when he first spoke to Acheron. They basically have the same manner of speaking and intonation. And I also recall people saying the same for CN and KR. EN on other hand makes Sam and Firefly sound like two different entities altogether. One is cold-blooded murderer, and the other is a sweet girl.

Watashi is not literally gendered, ie denotation, but its wrong to say it doesnt have a sort of a feminine connotation or that its feminine sounding. My source is japanese youtubers speaking about how japanese pronouns are used in the everyday life of japanese people, altough i cant recall the specific youtuber, you can probably find them. Simply Sam using Watashi is not enough to do anything other than to make the suspicious (cause of all the other evidence) more suspicious. Regardless this ultimate ruthless hunter weve heard about (Bam bam bam and then they are dead) speaking politely and respectfully is like, huh? Same whiplash as Sam sending us cute emotes. And place that one fact "watashi"in context and it all points to one thing. For instance, the light cone featuring Sam refers to Sam using "them." Also iirc Sam has been referred to as a humanoid mecha rather than a man at least once, iirc by blade but grain of salt. Regardless, variation in pronouns for this ultimate hunter gives pause.

Because if we consider that possibility, then it would contradict what she said to Fruiterine regarding the, "mute", that knows the truth but was unable to speak it. But in English he wheezes and drawls out his words like some kind of clichéd villain.
