HSR turn based combat is heavily inspired by trails cold steel. Especially turn manipulation via delay and action advance and also the ults are based on S-craft

I can kinda see it, but its also known that they are massive DMC fans aswell and most of Raiden Mei characters have some sorta reference to DMC or Vergil specifically. Raiden Mei Origin in HI3rd even has a reference to Metal Gear Rising Raiden's blade mode, one Raiden Mei variant even has an ultimate called "Dragon May Cry" which is one word off from being "Devil May Cry".

yeah,i knew that acheron's concept is quite multifaceted 😅,especially the thing with alpha crimson weave from PGR...i guess we can say that this is just 'part' of many inspiration they took 👀

i wish they follow trails mechanic where if u ult outside of your turn,there's extra delay in HSR it's just way too forgiving to steal an enemies turn with ult 🤣

... huh, now that you say that, rean's hair also turned from dark color to white..... Her animations is more like shizuna though, probably a bit of both ideas mixed into raiden mei design

i'd say her skill is more of shizuna,but her ult more on rean 👀...but well she pretty much took bits of every vergil's daughter/son and made it hers 🤣

Her Blade name is Nothing in kanji like this 無, same like rean who master 7 form Void with same kanji so basically she kinda use 8 leaf 1 blade techniques even the sword same size for tachi

to each their own i guess? i personally dont like using english voiceover in games like this where they yell out 'INSERT ULTIMATE TECHNIQUE NAME HERE' all around 😅😅..it sounds so cringey but i do play on english voice on games like FF7 rebirth and other less anime-esque games

Both English and Japanese Rean sound good, Sean Chiplock really evolved on voicing Rean like how the character also grew throughout the games which is so good.
