To clarify if/when Myth sees the post, the Arbiter's Maze solutions are normally obtained by finding pages with paths in the world. It's a big time sink thing, but the rewards are fun IMO. There's 2 rewards at the end, and 1 secret along the way.

Pro tip: both the Chaosfang and Skeletal Axe of Rending will level up with you. You might have to wait a bit for the level to catch up, but you can literally use these weapons all game and they’re OP.

Possessed scythes with a 98% exeucution chance are the best though, especially with heal and wrath on execute. Nothing says EZ like 1 hit into instant execute on anything.

about Achidna's Fangs: if you have them equipped, you will heal when you crit (this effect happens on both the fangs themselfs AND from your scythes). so you may really like that weapon.

Heya myth, some tips if you don't mind. The rusanov axe you just got iirc is a possessed weapon, meaning you can feed it unused gear to basically level it up and give new effects. Though you should know.

Feed it gear with effects you want and use that demon trader for that expensive thing to feed to possessed weapons. Basically if you feed it 1 weapon with lifesteal the rest is that thing you guarantee unlock lifesteal. I made a possessed scythe with 30% lifesteal + 50% execute it makes many many bosses die in a couple hits because you can execute them at over 90% hp which is broken.

Achidna was one of the bosses Thane from the Forge Lands told you about. Argul is in the world you're currently in. The other 2 are in Forge Lands, one in the Nook and the other in the mini dungeon between tri-stone and Stonefather's Vale. I'd recommend getting 2 in forge lands now, before you outscale them.

I don't know if they changed/fixed it for the Deathinitive edition, but in the original release Achidna's Fangs had a lifesteal effect that also applied to your Scythes while you had Achidna's Fangs equipped. It was a way to add very powerful lifesteal to your Scythes by "sacrficing" your secondary weapon slot for it, sicne Achidna's Fangs eventually stop being useful themselves.

Thank you as always for keeping up this series, man. It's still a joy to see you play it and having fun with it. This area is definitely the worst in terms of padding, but i'm happy that you found fun within it regardless. May that ever keep up through any of the future Darksiders games, not to mention the rest of this one :) I do have a request that might be rather inane and rude, and if so i apologize. But *please* swap out your scythes and secondary weapon every once in a while and mix things up. I concede that it is to blame on the game design that it is so (seemingly for you, at least) easy to blow through it all, thanks to how powerful the Axe of Rending, the Chaos Fangs and the Reaper Form are. Which makes them an easy go-to option. But part of Darksiders 2 is the insane amount of mixing and personalizing of your equipment for a Hack-and-Slash combat type game. Every subtype has a different charge attack that also works with the Sweet Spot release instead of the Wait For Full Charge, as i have propagated in nigh every episode of your series on DS2 thus far, and it would be interesting to see you try every of these weapons out. Let alone making use of the unique properties of Legendary weapons such as the venom in Achidna's Fangs, or the weapons you get from Gorewood, Argul and Bheithir, whom i similarly request you fight before continuing on in the Kingdom of the Dead-- or perhaps right after. In general, i ask you to first explore the lands on their own and the dungeons that are on offer (Argul is found in an optional dungeon and you already found Bheitir in the lava area where you needed the Deathgrip) and if you become so powerful that they go down easily, i am sorry to say... it gets somewhat boring. And that's not even getting into wanting you to explore the concept of Possessed Weapons, one of the most unique and interesting equipment features in this game. Or checking out the Serpent Tomes for rather important messages involving a combat arena. I am well aware that with my nigh spam messages i come across as dictating how you should play and i do apologize for appearing as such a conceited fan-- making you enjoy a game less because of fans of the game in question being rabid is one of the last things i want to be. But with this game and the DLCs present in the Deathinitive Edition, there is so much to explore first and use in the rest of the story, which would make checking them out after the fact not as useful. In short, we --or at least, I-- want you to explore Darksiders 2 to the fullest, experiment with what is present and explore where possible. And however thankful i am that you are playing this series in the first place, nevermind loving the story and art direction so much, and I again concede that there is issue with the game in providing you such grossly strong tools for comparatively underpowered opponents... I do hope for you to explore the game much further than you have-- not by way of story, but by way of content you have not touched upon. And hopefully you will like what you experience. Try to increase your arcade score, this will make your reaper form and special powers deal a lot of damage. You can use the Aegis guard skill for this or you can use arcane items on your possessed items.

Whatever you do don’t go to the maze unless you want to get lost, the maze has a load of items and upgrades but they all have specific routes and are moderately difficult. Qualification platinum trophy on all darksiders games with 400 hrs on darksiders 2

Quick tip: There 3 different stonebite, go to back to Blackroot and give them to him. You're given an option to combine 3 stonebites, like power, mystic and resistance or 2 power and 1 mystic, and these he grants you a permanent buff like +20 strength or arcane

Rusanovs axe does so little right now because some boss weapons need other weapons sacrificed to it. So be sure to feed rusanovs axe. Also don't be afraid to do some of the side quests, some are really good. Like killing the bosses which Thane has asked.

The Darksiders games have very few bugs, and they are far in between, but holy jesus if they aren't funny when you see one. Near the first time Achidna ambushes in the fight, she is halfway through the ground and also sideways. Time in the video is 18:02 I think.

Possessed weapons are the best but require heavy grind to make good. I made a scythe with 50% execute chance it makes mini-bosses die in 6 hits because you can execute while they are at 90% hp.

i fucking loved that i could summon 3 more soldiers back then i was more of a necromancer put wrath shit on everything and i loved when i could summon 3 ghouls + the 3 kings at 20:30 i also always used to say kill him at that line but would always be sad cuz i couldnt bring them to fight more things and they had been replaced by soul splitter and each time i replay darksiders i always try to find a way to keep them like going to the next dungeon early doing everything with them before they cant anymore quite sad

Once you're finished with the Darksiders series, you should check out Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. It's the same action rpg style, and the first game is as good as Darksiders 1 in my opinion. The second game however, has many more flaws, but still worth playing.
