Took me 60 years to explain this to my self. Just thought I was a freak and understanding brings so much relief. Now I can look at things within context and explain many mysteries in my life. The main thing for me is the need to achieve, no matter what and that can be a problem within society, as people tell you you always need to be right. It not the need to be right that is the motivator, but the need to reach as close as possible to the truth even if it is unatainable. The other big one for me is that women will only see what you cannot keep private, such as desire, this leads them to believe that you only want one thing because it shows. But the reality of interest is much deeper, for me at least, so it leads to many missed opportunities for relationships, but again I only consider what I can reach not what is offered.

This is a huge problem for us women, because how can we know this, when they don't tell us, or even tell us the opposite, when we subtly understand that they care, but they don't want more than just desire and don't want any relationship. Most women want a relationship.

Lacking spontaneity and having tunnel vision are definitely part of my Sigma character. I become extremely annoyed when I plan a day and then spontaneous unplanned interruptions are introduced to derail the schedule by people who don't think ahead. On the other hand, I do not mind moving across the country to a place I've never been before if a spontaneous opportunity arises that will add opportunity and interest to my life. I think that kind of spontaneity is rooted in Sigma's reluctance to anchor ourselves to permanent social circles in a specific location like other people do. Tunnel vision is also a problem, yet I am able to make connections to disparate and seemingly unrelated events that reveal insights into people's motives that other people cannot see. Many people are driven by hidden, self-serving agendas they mask to present themselves to the public as noble when they are really snake-ish. I can discern their hidden motives and am often thanked when I reveal them to others who might have been harmed. Sigmas are just mentally wired differently from the norms of other people.

The point about being spontaneous seems wrong. I'd say we make a structure of "absolutes", as guidelines towards our goals, and when permitted, as long as it is within that frame and does not conflict with it, doing something different can be a great way to recharge. Story time, if you want an example, skip if not: EMTs needed access to my worksite one friday afternoon, so work cut out early. On my way home, since I had nothing planed that weekend, I went with an impulse to not take the exit off of the highway, which would have taken me home. I kept driving for hours and finaly stopped at a hotel where I bought some quality cigars and 12y/o Highland Park. I probably spent 6 hours, watching the coastline from my balcony, while I quietly enjoyed just being by myself and being myself. - Still a fond memory; 11 years later!

This video is absolutely correct. I would only add that instead of labeling them weakness, I would say they are one of many possible scenarios a sigma would keep an eye on. Many on the list will tend to happen less and less as a sigma ages. Each one can be refined and mastered but all must be kept in check. I also would like to add when it comes to frustration, sigmas are excellent problem solvers. The issue is if there is a complicated problem to solve and there are missing parts to the equation, you will experience the overthinking, a consequence of a sigmas perspective. It’s exhausting. Years ago my father had a dilemma. He owned a piece of property 6 hours away, and he needed to move 3 pieces of equipment and 4 trucks plus a few different sized implements. I remember he fought for weeks analyzing how by himself, he could drive one truck, towing one of two trailers deciding which piece of equipment or implement to load first and what to bring back for 3rd and 4th trip. He got stuck on trying to find the most fuel efficient way to do it mixed with time efficiency because of the distance. It was the only time I remember him being stumped. It just wasn’t feasible, it could not be solved. He ended up having to ask for help to drive the last vehicle back and then driving the helper home . As I got older I use that as a reference when I catch myself in similar situations. If anyone was to ask me what things frustrate a sigma more than anything is 1, limited funds if there is something a sigma wants or a opportunity arises and their working capital is tied up. 2 when I sigma is in a intersection with 3 lanes stopped at a red light and the only lane that is clear with no traffic is green. Inefficiency mixed with forced idleness is kryptonite.

For this video, I agree with 6 of these. Having set routines and schedules and being comfortable with them is not something I agree with; nor do I enjoy them. Often times the mundaneness of routines and schedules feels like a choke-hold around my neck. My ability to be adaptive and find alternatives is where I find pleasure. Predictability can help and lead to stability in many circumstances, but being able to change that predictability in a given moment is a far more powerful weapon. Being alone and being lonely are two different things. Often times when someone is lonely it is because they have a deep yearning for connecting with others. Most of the time when I am feeling lonely it has been when my partner is no longer receptive to my engagement, and I am looking to maintain that deep connection with them. When it comes to being outside a relationship, loneliness is not something that ever comes into my frame of mind. Loneliness is the result of seeking a connection to another and being starved for that connection. Not worrying about that superficial connection and only focusing on deep connection with a select few, often prevents loneliness from occurring. Just because I am alone, doesn't mean I am lonely.

Is it possible to have several aspects of a 'sigma', but lesser portions of other aspects? I find there is no One box that I fit into- but closest to a sigma mentality. Childhood trauma that I never really recognized til recently as trauma. There's a conundrum in being a Sigma for sure but, like all life's challenges, it's what you make it. Rather than caring about conformity and how you may be perceived, we are more apt to enjoy the thrill of finding your own panacea for our ills drawn from the teachers' of the ages. These points, although perceptive, don't allude to the Sigma's resilience in negotiating them and applying their humanitarian denominator as a value, in the process of resolving them. By this I mean that Sigma's don't perceive themselves in competition with others a la the rat race, rather they are happy to be making a collective contribution, albeit, less attention seeking, so they are not evaluating themselves in constant relation to 'the other'. Consequently, although it may not be socially vogue, it does'nt cause distress. Some examples re- weaknesses illustrate the point. Firstly, when you refine your perception to see reality as it actually is, many of the social ' fitting in' labels don't matter, as they've already become obsolete in your own consciousness and your happy to make connections and contributions when it's relevant and socially purposeful. In the case of overthinking and being overtly analytical, I've always seen this as a blessing as it allows for deeper insight into issues and facilitates making connections between otherwise unconnected subjects and content other people don' t see. Lastly, being mystical, facilitates deep understanding and renders many of life's challenges negotiable. Therefore, with added insight, you put problems in proper perspective and look for unorthodox solutions instead of magnifying elements and creating mountains out of a molehills.

Pretty sure that we all have a mix of all types within us. So no one is 100% a particular type. It’s just which one we tend to be in our social or work situations. Tests I have done is something like 43% sigma, 15% alpha, but there’s also, beta, and omega thrown in the mix as well. Also depends on the situation and context.

I can't agree (completely) with a lot of those. Do I agree that they (would) be an issue. Yes. BUT, they can't be. I'll take one to explain. Spontaneity. That ,IF, something (happens), then that could mess with my "vision" of how this is going to BE. nope. There "IS" no (unexpected) something that could ever happen. I've already "planned" in for that. I've encounter something "unexpected" almost on every mission. A "wrong turn". OK we will do "this". Ur, oh. That didn't work either. OK, eff it. We will do something else (completely). Always have TWO main missions. The SECONDARY objective, will only get the (green light) if something "unexpected" happens to the PRIMARY objective. Something we would have never (set out) to do. But now, We can. Since, we are already this far out here. So, wow. A (Sigma) will take the reigns, no matter where life "thinks" it wants to go. OH YEAH, I almost forgot. AND, everybody along the way, will enjoy and (remember) the experience. BUT remember. If you go "showing" people how doing "wily" and "dip shit" things are so much fun. They always want, "more of the same". And they know I am the spout where it comes out. Then you got all these people (like mosquitoes), always around. And, yes, they are fun. BUT. Time, you know. And I got (almost) enough things calling me away from my "necessary" life. Oh well. I'm just warning that you "plan" for the (aftermath). Well, kinda (aftermath), I guess that is what people call it. That same Logic I just described will hold true, to most of those (Weaknesses) in that compile. It's all (how a person views each of those "attacks"). And the same response hold true for each of them. Do I agree that they (would) be an issue if it were a "regular" person. BUT, the whole short is about a (sigma male). And those little things are not my weaknesses. If I ever "see" something I find beautiful. That is my weakness. Some people find beauty in the (Grand canyon), or maybe the (Mona Lisa), other find their solace in (heroin). And they spend $$$$$$ to be close to those things. I don't think Sigmas struggle with any of these. I have never been bothered by being called aloof, weird, odd, different, indifferent, etc. never found it hard to be alone. And so on. None are a weakness or struggle. I am annoyed by one thing, and indifferent-annoyed by one. My annoy is, people trying to control me and make me confirm. The indifferent-annoy is unreliability. It annoys me but because i expect it i am indifferent to it and chalk it up as "just the way things are", but i don't struggle and it is not a weakness.

This little riff by the poster swings back and forth, contradicting the basic tenets and personality of the Sigma. It may be possible for a younger Sigma to be conflicted about his self identity but older Sigmas have a lifetime of experience under their belts and understand the bullshit games most everyone play. No....a real Sigma sees the world through a Glass Darkly. He is confident beyond reproach when it comes to the reality of the World at large.

The biggest weakness for a sigma is betrayal and forgiveness. Once a sigma lets somebody in it really does mean the person is worth everything but when this person betrays a sigma it stabs him right into his heart for he held this person so close. It could be a spouse most especially, for sigmas just dont find a spouse they find a person they can confine in. Its like how an eagle or a dove finds a mate. They just dont find any mate they find a mate that can build a home. Now if a sigma is betrayed by such a person he gets into a battle between his principles and forgiving such a person. Yes, the sigma will eventually move on but he never forgets the lesson learnt.

#6 is absolutely wrong, since when would a change of plans not be a great chance to challenge myself for a new plan ? And the challenge is the fun is it not ? There is a reason there's no need looking for fun , because the world does not revolve around you and there will always be something going wrong, and that's the fun part. If the task at hand is so routine and so mundane that it can be done the same way every time , why not get a machine to do it instead ?

Preference has nothing to do with it. When everyone around you feels strange and alien, keeping to yourself, and isolating is the only path open. Isolation is a blessing, and sometimes, a curse. It is what it is, and many of us embrace the path of the Lone Wolf.

I think sigma male do have Perfectionist problem . Being way too ambitious in Career or rigid in personal ways , Not being flexible Or lenient when comes to People in general and opposite sex. But at same Time on both ends lack Understanding of each other’s mindset. This becomes a lack of a communication problem between the two opposite mindset . It’s needs more of give and take depending on situations and respecting each other’s boundaries and values at same time Each different mindset is entitled to practice their God given free will, but still be at peace with one another .

I'm not sure the hive collective has enough benefits that outweigh the cost of conformity for a sigma. For any group to get along there seems to be a lowest common denominator that must be reached within a given collective. Call it give-and-take. Now if it is perceived that this give-and-take is actually fostering a sense of phoney identity for the individual, then it might be seen as too high of a cost for the relatively low benefit in gain. This is especially true for a person who feels they have put a lot of time, energy and money into becoming the person that they currently are. Catch-22.

Pretty much all the traits of Sigma Males in this and other of your videos hit me either bulls-eye or at least somewhat close. But, in this video, the Spontaneity topic missed the mark. I do not meticulously plan my days, I don't live my life by routines, and I'm not really put off if something disrupts my plans. I've learned that a closed door here opens another door there. So, maybe that's just Sigma attitudes applied in a different way.

I didn't see any of these as struggles for a mature sigma. Being closed off equates to making good boundaries. Sigma or not, we are going to be misunderstood, but that is their struggle. All the other areas are quite manageable by a mature sigma...so, this must be referring to the less-mature sigma.

All of us self identified sigmas listening to the commentator stroking our egos, , [yes I am doing the same] are looking for a group to belong to, in this case an elite group, which this time around we call sigma. It is our need to belong that is the attraction.We for all our similarities to this group are still just ordinary, usually blokes looking to be accepted as unique and special [ which every one is anyway no matter what classification or group we identify with] The truth is we are lonely for love, and we wont get it from mistrusting every one we meet who does not meet our artificial standards. you have to trust , get knocked down a lot , pick yourself up and keep being open to people, they only hurt you trying to protect themselves and trying to be happier than they are now. If you don't do this and put up a wall, you are in your own self constructed solitary confinement . This is fine for recuperation, and quite often we need a lot of that, but for me anyway its not for life. I am 70 years young, and I still hope. I work with difficult people [in a prison as a screw], I still meet people who in spite of their past, are trying to find and give of themselves. I am not religious or on a mission from God or anything, just a bloke.Maybe I am nuts, but I am as happy as anyone I know, and if I am misguided I like this insanity . One of the reasons I'm a loner is because I carefully lay out plans and others cancel at last minute.
