To wear the crown you have to go to someone (One of the humans) and then drop the crown. then go to a corner so you can't move and you're cornered, finally they will notice the crown and walk towards you to put the crown on your goose head. Enjoy your crown!

the back gardens is one of the toughest I was finaly able to do it quickly on steam using a xbox controller to get the crown

I feel so dumb! I thought you were awarded the secret prize for doing the extra to-do items like the cabbage picnic and open umbrella in tv shop, etc. and I thought THAT was timed! I didn't realize you just have to do all the same stuff that you just did to beat the game all over again! And I really hate that you have no idea when the church bells are going off unless you keep checking your list, and it only says in minutes. I wish there was a countdown clock or something to let you know!! Oh, well. I just started playing this game yesterday on my PC and the controls are very frustrating, esp. for running. I started to do the challenge to get the crown and I also stupidly thought you had to roll all FOUR cabbages to the blanket, so I wasted so much time doing that, ugh!!!!

Make sure absolutely everything in your to-do list is crossed out. I think the achievement is more dependent on that than whether you have all of the achievements unlocked. It’s also possible you need to give the achievement a little time to pop. Sometimes I don’t get an achievement until the next time I log in depending on my internet connection. Are you at least seeing the present at your starting area?

Sorry it's not working for you, I'm not sure what the issue could be. Try to make sure you've finished the game and have all the items on the regular and secret to-do lists complete. The achievement should pop and the present should show up after literally everything else is done in the game

You get the prize from crossing off all of the items on the to-do lists, and you can wear the crown if you drop it in front of someone. Does that help, or did you mean something else?
