Note how much the AH office "shrunk" as they went from just Jack/Geoff to the normal AH crew.

@FusionCoreConfusion Microphones. Jack already answered this a while back, but playback of an HD vid in FC an be slow and laggy, rendering a low res vid only takes like 30 secs and makes the whole thing easier.

@floxxflow HD is level of image quality, an HDMi cord is used to display HD video. You use a special product called a capture card that you connect your xbox to, then from the card to you TV and from the card to a computer, or a memory unit. The end result is you play your game and the capture card records video and sound, in HD quality from an HDMi cord.

@floxxflow So long as the capture card outputs via Firewire, yes. HDMi has a bandiwth capability of about 5 Gbps, while Firewire has 400 Mbps. Additionally HDMi has HDCP and uses lossless video and Firewire is mpeg. [Which is lossy]. Unless your capture card outputs Firewire you can't input into a Firewire port unless you run it through something else first. [That is to say, you can't go from HDMi to Firewire directly, there are no adaptors for it].

@BadaBingBoyz You need a Capture Card or PVR to record the video from your console to your computer, these usually come with software for this. Next is editing software, Final Cut, Sony Vegas etc. to cut and render the video. These usually have a voice recording function on them which will easily allow you to stick your voice over onto the gameplay. Assuming you already have a computer and a console this will set you back a couple of hundred dollars

@corranthebold HOW THE FLOATING GAMES WORK: It's called an invisible book case. They stick two games, one at the top and one at the bottom, probably by nails. Then the other games are just slotted in between them. People use it for making floating books. I remember them talking about it on the podcast and how they would like to do it for games.
@jnackmclain12 жыл бұрын
Simple. Mic into computer, usually separate so you can control it easier. program like audacity, garageband, final cut pro, etc. to record the audio. sync the audio and video while recording both. (do something that you can match up with audio and video like counting while selecting different things on a menu.) simple
