This presentation will explore challenges to equity throughout the heart transplant process, from listing to allocation, and discuss ongoing efforts to foster equity.
Objectives
1. Identify race, sex, geographic, and biological barriers to equity in access to advanced heart failure therapies.
2. Describe sources of inequity along the heart transplant trajectory.
3. Discuss current strategies to mitigate disparities in heart transplants.
