Acid King at Hoverfest

Hoverfest 2014 - the first of its kind. A meeting of the movers and shakers. An adoration of all things heavy. The day-long event was held in North Portland, Oregon and featured Mountain God, Holy Grove, Wounded Giant, Eight Bells, Danava, Yob, Witch Mountain, and, of course, Acid King. To say that the Bay-Area trio is legendary is just an understatement. They dominate and their influence cannot be understated. The fuzzy, low-tuned three-piece played some old stuff and some new stuff (in anticipation of a new record, whose release at the publication of this video is still TBD). Enjoy almost an hour of prime footage from the open-air show, filmed by yours truly, and be mindful to follow and support the band!

Wow! Lori IS alot skinnier now! I hope she's eating enough while on this tour. I saw her sitting in a booth alone having a beer and watching the World Series on TV at Now That's Class in Cleveland, Ohio before the show last year...and I took it upon myself to welcome her to town (and gush over her like a total dork.) But she was very sweet, funny, personable, and she autographed all my cd covers for me (that's 6, including the split EPs). Later Joey walked up and was also very cool and personable, and also signed everything. Had a great time kickin' it & shootin' the shit for awhile with Lori & Joey...and afterwards the show was fucking AWESOME!!! I fucking LOVE Acid King!!! Truly a legendary band of the Stoner Rock genre...just as much as Sleep, Kyuss, Buzzov*en, Electric Wizard, etc.
