Here I was listening to the actual song on my playlist when I was like 'wait! wasn't there a wonderful and amazing video done for Sephiroth with this song!' and here I am, once again in awe at how great the video is and how it perfectly matches him.

sephiroth is really a great character in final fantasy. i mean, yeah, he's technically the bad guy. but seriously, look at his point of view where it's like, he finds out that all his power was actually CREATED and that the planet he lives on is using up all the energy of the only mother he would ever know. one could understand how he goes nuts and hates the world. :x

This is video is a work of art. I never realized how much this song fit Sephiroth until now. The overall tone of the song along with the repetition of "loyalty, loyalty, loyalty, only to me" really captures that brainwashing feel. It's very eerie but in all the right ways. Good job.

This is the most incredible Sephiroth amv I've ever seen...the song is perfect and powerful. I love how it shows the layers beneath the usual "evil" perspective. As much as I try to hate him as the "bad guy", it becomes more impossible as the story expands and I just end up feeling bad for him. The first time I heard this song was on a Sephiroth AMV, and I was very upset when the video was taken down. 'Mordred's Lullaby' suits Sephiroth eerily well, and I'm glad someone else has made the connection and made such a lovely video for it. This song will really always make me think of Sephiroth. :D Awesome video!

Ahhhhhh!!! This is very good! Thank you for including the iconic image of Sephiroth stabbing Aeris. Lots of editors don't use that footage because it is not as high quality graphics, but I think it is a really important iconic scene. Also, the fact that this song has the word "Puppetile" and you used that for Cloud was amazing, seeing as how JENOVA's only line in the game was about that. Great editing and storytelling! Good job utilizing footage from all games and movies and great choice of song

@Janiqua I totally agree with u. But to me, the sequels are very important 'cause they depict exactly what happened before FFVII. In Crisis Core u get to know Zack and ,at least for me, the end was very heartbreking. No matter what u do his death is inevitable. And in Dirge of Cerberus u get to know 1 of my fav characters, and the truth behind Sephiroth's birth. So I think the cretors made a hell of a job to complement the stories so well. =)

Wow, that was amazing. And thanks for using the footage of Cloud and Sephiroth fighting in the reactor. It's such a crucial scene, and no one ever uses it in their music videos! Great job. With all the remakes and sequels, it seems we keep getting more and more badguys, but none of them can compare to Sephiroth. For me, he and Cloud ARE Final Fantasy VII.

The song is about Mordred from Arthurian legend. The story is told from the perspective of Morgan la Fey, Arthur's half sister and the mother of his child, Mordred. "Flower" must refer to Gwenivere. Hope that helps.

That answer was never provided. Jenova's body was fought in the Northern Crater as Jenova Absolute, so her physical form was destroyed, but parts of her remained in Cloud and the other Sephiroth Clones. If you're taking AC as canon, it was this continued cellular presence that caused Geostigma, and Jenova managed to infiltrate and pollute the lifestream as well.

JENOVA was alive, but in a different way than humans are I suppose. She speaks to those which have her cells, so she is alive on a subconscious level. But not necessarily in the same way that we are. Plus I think she was damaged or controlled while in that tank, as she never spoke to Sephiroth before he 'awakened'. Anyway, good video. Captures the mood very well, I just think you could have made it flow and move in a more interesting and more captivating way.

Decoy - too bad she chose Hojo as her Victim. Must be Karma. However, in the DoC Version, too, Lu and Hojo get together and have Sephy. And, of course, experiment on him, with Lu giving Vinny bitchi speech about how incredibly sure she is. When she starts collapsng and having visions of the future, Vinny confronts Hojo albeit in a quite different fashion - the effect is the same, he gets shot and experimented on, with the only difference that Lu was the one to revive him.

Well, there's two versions of that. The orginal one and the DoC one. In the original, Vincent was in luv with Lucrecia, but she didn't give a damn about him. There's a incredibly sad cutscene with Hojo holding Lucrecia and little Vincent standing there thinking "If that makes her happy, then its okay with me". Well, Lu and Hojo do nasty adult things, make Sephy and experiment on him - but the whole thing had terrible side effects on Lu, so Vincent complained to Hojo claiming that experimenting

In Advent Children Sephiroth was only a manifestation that appeared when Kadaj did whatever he did with Jenovas head juice. Therefore, only Kadaj's body was taking damage which is the reason why he collapsed after returning to his normal form.

He didn't know. Even Hojo himself stated that. Actually, Hojo planned on telling him when after helping him out with that mako canon, but as we all know, Cloud killed Hojo before he could tell Sephy. Sad Story. I guess Hojo cared for his kid... In his own, twisted, Hojo-like way....XD I don't think that it would chance the events a lot if he'd learned about his human parents after nibelheim as Hojo would agree with his world domination plans and he'd probably kill Lucrecia, but before that...

Hojo might think that, but believe otherwise. After Genesis had told I’m the truth about his creation Sephiroth locked himself up in cellar of the Shinra Mansion for days. He reads all of the laboratory journals of the Jenova experiments, he must have fond Hojos own records as well, including were his biological parents are. Personally I believe he referring to Jenova as HIS mother in a figuratively way, because of her superiority genetics, so he sees her as his true mother. Indeed he is a victim of Hojo and Genova, both reckless following there goals ( Jenova appearing to the Cetra as there relatives to spread a plague). As well Hollander did nearly the same to Genesis and Angeal. But I can’t see Hojo really caring for Sephiroth, he is more a mean for this personal purposes.

For those who watched Advent Children: I am confused. So Cloud killed Sephiroth with those swords. If the attack was fatal, then how the heck was he able to stay tall and even expand his wing, say that phrase and, well, I didn't see blood at all. I mean, did Cloud actually kill him? Or just injured him and then he retreated back in the Lifestream to heal his wounds willingly?

@Athena Zhou Cloud is the "brother" in the sense that he is Zack`s living legacy and Zack shared a fraternal bond with both men as well as Hojo`s experiments shaping both Sephiroth and Cloud`s growth(Sephiroth being born from said experiments along with Genesis,Angeal and more indirectly Weiss,Nero,the "Clones" and the Remnants whilst Cloud and Zack merely had their natural human genetics enhanced by MAKO and JENOVA Cells.)Also,the Remnants were born from the fragmented memories of both Cloud and Sephiroth through their MAKO and JENOVA Cells in the Lifestream and Northern Crater hence their constant references to him being their "big brother" in The Film because they`re all made from Sephiroth and JENOVA or at least enhanced by their influence in the case of Genesis,Angeal,Cloud and Zack.Aerith is 'the flower' and the Cetra more generally.
