The Renault 5 submarine was actually a marketing stunt by Renault. they paid modders for different games to mod that car in, like in Subnautica, but also Stardew Valley, GMOD etc.

This is only making me more excited for the Call of the Void Mod! Cause all these subs will have good uses there cause I've always felt the main sub world isn't too practical to use, but Call of the Void sounds even more amazing with all these mods! Keep up the amazing work!

I prefer the beluga but it's not a fair comparison as the beluga is a mobile base and the hydra is more like a quick exploration or resource gathering vehicle (for the current stuff the game has)

(Also i have 2 more subs work in progress that are semi-public knowlage. Such is Genesis and Oarfish. Genesis is heavely work in peogress though (its an aircraft carrier) tho. Oarfish just needs coliders and fiew tweaks. I can definetly share them if you ever reach out)

out of all vehicles Seamoth will forever be the best one out there because it's small enough to fit anywhere, agile enough to maneuver through anything and with upgrades and mods even spacious enough to carry a lot. i only use both Cyclops & PRAWN for the last leg of the journey so all of these submarine mods don't do anything for me since they're too big and look out of place in the game. however your Hydra is the one that looks closest to baby boy Seamoth. it looks like Alterra themselves built it and it's lore-friendly, not to mention agile and small. and i can't wait to try it out in my latest playthrough.

Beluga is just ... Unusually good. I always think about getting a Seal, but Beluga is just more lore friendly and comfortable and i always choose Beluga. Shame i can't have a reactor inside of it.
