Juanita Ramsey was the oft-mentioned but never seen friend and fellow society matron of Phoebe Tyler. I think Phoebe tried to pair up Juanita's grandson Jonathan Ramsey (a brief role) with someone. Phoebe's phone conversations with Juanita suggested that she was just as snobby as Phoebe.

Yes. He got let go because Fans didn't like the Romance between him and Angie. It was she who suggested that he audition for Jack Abbott #2 and the rest is History. The Young & The Restless has the best track record for recasting.

Miss Nina did know how to faint.....I loved the Cliff/Nina storyline. I remember the very first scene when Palmer and Nina were introduced. The Cortlandts did live in Pine Valley before and Phoebe did know Daisy. How memories are changed......I was in junior high and their storyline was my escape from real life. I loved their love theme. I noticed when the darked haired Nina replacement came along, they played the love theme. I often wondered if the writers were trying to steer the audience in the direction into the original Nina/Cliff love story. Barbara Kearns was a good actress but no one could replace Taylor Miller as Nina. I was thrilled when she returned.

@WendyCR72 - I did (love Cliff & Nina) too! I was so bummed when he left and didn't watch Y&R for years... but now i do and he is GOOD! A lot of AMC'ers have ended up on Y&R lately and it's been a good move for a lot of them, but they sure got their start here. My first soap :)

I remember when Nina and Cliff were married in such grand fashion that I was bothered about the pomp. They were married I pat the Cortlandt mansion, so what was she doing with the horse and carriage, when she was supposed to be living upstairs from the ceremony site? AND I was NEVER satisfied that Nina's mother, Daisy, was introduced as this mysterious Victorian type of character......with a shag haircut? I don't mean to complain after all these years........on second thought.....
