Great video...but in real life don't want to pause too much in between compressions.

Great videos! I'm really interested in studying paramedic science I've only got basic first aid qualifications at the moment and am learning by volunteering with st John's ambulance. Could you please possibly give me your pre requirements to studying paramedic science? Thank you so much

There is a 30 second pause in cpr at 954. None of you other treatment matter unless you have a high chest compression fraction with no pauses greater than 10seconds

With the second round of compressions you guys didn’t stop compressions for air!! Less than 10 seconds of pause between compressions. That switch took too long.

why are you not continuing CPR whilst charging? also, you did not check the airway before starting

My guess is he’s looking if a shock is advised or seeing if the heart is pumping on its own again? Not sure honestly

@@GraysonMedical damn I was almost correct
@Studious4Health2 жыл бұрын
@@GraysonMedical I mean you would be charging while doing compressions. You stop compressions to evaluate rhythm and then either shock or disarm. It may be different in other countries, but the current evidence suggests that's the best way to do it :)

Hmmm those pauses to analyze the rhythm are too long (no cpr), also you are supposed to do a full 2-minute cycle before your first rhythm analysis. You could also have saved some time by pre-charging the monitor before analyzing the rhythm.

also I know this is a sim, but making eye contact with the person you’re getting a story from is important. I also feel like you could have done a better job at leading your team, at times you see they are confused and waiting for you to give them directions. You are giving amiodarone to a vfib that is not refractory.

I was taught this way initially too, but my new protocols literally highlight to start CPR but as soon as the defibrillator charges, immediate shock, and then continue CPR. it was such a hard thing to unlearn.

@@davenc8916can you elaborate man. How can you tell if it’s not refractory
