Great video, would you mind posting the brand and type of parka as well as hardshell you will be using?

I had a mountain hardware absolute zero parka. It was awesome...kept me plenty warm even if very extreme cold. My shell is a arcteryx alpha FL

Nice Video! one question, what leg layer combination did you use for the summit day??

I used a base layer then the insulated puffy pants with hard shell pants on the outside.

I’m in Mendoza now! Starting the trek tomorrow. Did you make the summit? How was the weather?

I did not make the summit. I ended up turning around on the traverse just before the cave on summit day.

I think u need more warm stuff for your legs. 0 bag no way up high. How did it go? Planning a logistics trip for Dec. 2023. Take spare batteries and headlamp.

It was an awesome trip. I turned back just below the summit. I was pretty smoked and didn't have enough to finish it safely. I felt good about my gear choices. I stayed warm enough with -30 temps on summit day. I definitely was stretching it a bit with the 0 bag. I had a couple of nights were I was fine, but perhaps not as warm as I would like. Never cold in the bag and I had plenty of layers to put on if I needed, but I understand the recommendations for warmer bags especially if you sleep cold.
