"...that's A Waning Moon..." at 3:43 is my favourite VW moment - lasting all of two seconds - from such a large and distinguished legacy. Susie Blake's impeccable deadpan delivery of VW's absurd, surreal script will live forever. She was light years ahead of satirical contemporaries such as Spitting Image, Jasper Carrott and Rory Bremner. I'd say that Armando Iannucci was VW's spiritual successor, as she veered off in more of a mainstream direction, continuing and developing the art of pin-point accurate parody/satire into the 90s. RIP Vic.
