This is why I love this channel, helps me find stuff like this.

Just want to add my voice to say that I love raw rhythms and staggered/dragged/rushed timefeels. They can be used effectively and here they feel very intentional, adding a push, pull, flow, and liveliness that works so well for the lush naturey aesthetic of the album.

I love to present this song, especially to my fellow Brazilians that are unfamiliar with Kataayra, mainly due to that 6:30 ish to 10:00 session cuz it's straight up our ''Samba'' rhythm smacked in the middle of extreme music. And the reactions are always ''chef kiss'' And to everyone, I also recommend the (unfortunately) last album of the project ''Inpariquipê''. It's this same mix of ''extreme + acoustics'' but better, more polished, melodic, emotional, more experimental and gosh... I love it.

the same way black metal incorporates folk music, what would be brazilian folk music? "samba de roda" is an excellent pick for that

Just fyi Kataayra is just one guy, Caio Lemos, playing all of the instruments

FINALLY Kataayra on the Chanel. Would love to see “Corpos Transparentes” by Bríi. Its a masterpiece imo, and its pretty much a Kaatarya twin.

Na verdade, já é a segunda review a Kataayra. A primeira foi à 2 anos com o tema " Iasá " kzbin.info/www/bejne/faeTp6SLoc-GqpYsi=ANZ7-N4CxmHtlSVm

Kaatayara is amazing, one of the many solo projects of Caio, such a prolific musician. Easily the most interesting black metal act in recent years.

Kaatayra is back again. Love this album from them! Recommending an album to check out on your own - Pleroma by Orgone. Cool folk, chamber, jazz, blackened prog. One of my fav of the year! Hope you’re well Bryan!

If you want to stay in the theme Acoustic and also Brazilian, I suggest you react to the song "O Mistério do Planeta" by Novos Baianos, a Brazilian band from the early 70s part of the Tropicália Movement. This song in particular is such of a high level that I consider it to be at least 30 or 40 years ahead of its time.

I do like the song. The synth spoils the "all acoustic" though...
