@Koensdus When we review amps on video, we usually mic them, because it tends to be more accurate for hearing how the amp itself sounds. But on stage, you'd most likely get a better sound using the DI, though it may sound different from the actual sound coming out of the speakers.

Thanks for this! I notice that you've recorded the amp with a condenser mic here..:why didn't you use the DI out to record? The reason I ask: I want to use the amp as stagemonitor, dial in the sound that I want and then take that to front of house..:would you get a 'truer' sound if you'd mike the amp up on stage rather than taking a DI line out to FOH?, Regards

No, they both have tubes. LT is much lighter due to a lighter cabinet and a D class amplifier.

I want an amp that produces old school tone. These all seem to color the sound. I want That Neil Young tone. These also seem super complex, Maybe I'm missing something? I wish they had these things with just a volume and tone and more of a direct path.
