How do you get such low bass notes?

Using an octave pedal for the bass. it's part of the Voicelive3 pedal that I'm using for looping here.

@@davidshanhun your channel and your videos are awesome. Any tips on harmonizer pedals? I have two and not being successful at getting good harmonies out of it.
@wallacenock74235 жыл бұрын
Dave I have a question. I see you tune your guitar permanently to Eb and I have to say your fine if that Takamine is amazing. Ok I know the pickup is good but does it help with looping and using the OC3 the way you do for acoustic sets. I have a mini Maton EMD6 and am getting a Martin OMJM soon so I am really interested in dropping my tuning to Eb.
@davidshanhun5 жыл бұрын
I tuned it to Eb predominantly because I was doing a live combo that really stretched my range vocally, and I found that rather than change some specific arrangements that worked super well with open strings, dropping a semitone just eased things for my voice whilst keeping the arrangement. Now I'm a bit in limbo, had it in Eb for ages and have written a bunch of my original tunes that sit really nicely there, but considering (dare I say it), a potential move to standard E tuning! hehe. Martin OMJM looks like a super nice guitar mate! Will love to hear what you think of it once you get it! :) (and hope that backstory helps ya!)
@wallacenock74235 жыл бұрын
@@davidshanhun Great now it makes a lot more sense. Yea i also don't have the highest range and tried `Eb tuning for the first time a few days back and it really did work amazingly well also using the octave with some of the Acoustic songs it really makes such a huge difference.

Hi, I love how you play the lead guitar section. Do you have any good tabs for this? Well done, great cover.
@davidshanhun5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Frank! ...I actually play the first note wrong haha! I don't have tabs for it - but just while I'm replying - the first note should be 8th fret on the 4th string - start with the note a half bend up, and then relax the bend down and you will get that classic whammy bar sound, then the second note is the 6th fret on the 2nd string, and it gets bent up half a step. That should get you started I hope - otherwise I recommend to play the youtube video on .75 speed from a laptop or computer and listen a few times - let me know how you go and if that was useful to you! :)
