Love it. People crap on Sepelle, but the fact that Boucher built some models with it tells you it's a great tone wood that has a place at any level of build like any other wood. I have two Eastman guitars (one with quilted Sepelle and one non-quilted) that are great sounding guitars (clear, punchy, and get people's attention).

I played several of these guitars today. The Boucher personnel were great and warmly encouraged me to spend time with several impressive guitars. Boucher himself answered some question I had about his experience, knowledge and unbelievable access to premium woods including adirondack. In terms of cosmetics, beautiful tonewoods and I also love their use of wood binding. I always wondered why adirondack was not generally used on classical guitars and he suggested that it may be too stiff for nylon strings which is interesting and seems plausible. Thanks again Boucher people and continued good luck. And if they are good enough for Joni Michell and her beautiful unique timbre ...

I have a Bluegrass goose. Nice sound, but nowhere near as good as my Martin D28 Authentic 1937. JP Cormier exaggerated it's volume and projection in his video review about 3 yrs ago.

I have an SG-52 and a BG-52-GIM. I won’t get into the neck geometry issues with my SG-52 that Boucher is gaslighting me about because I still think it’s a great guitar, and eventually I will get it sorted out. But I just bought a D-18 Std, and so far it’s standing up to my Boucher guitars in many ways. I ordered my BG based on JP’s review of his “Rocket,” and it is a gorgeous guitar. That being said, I know now not to buy a high-end instrument that you have not played.

@@darrellskinner5263I’m curious to hear about the neck geometry issues. I’ve been thinking about getting a Boucher and its good to hear both the positives and the negatives/concerns people have

@@dazdarren9926 the angle of the neck to the body is not right. The action is ok and it’s playable, but the saddle is quite low. I took it back to them and they said it was fine. I don’t technically NEED a neck reset, and of course that’s a major repair. Still, I’d have been much happier with an acknowledgment that the geometry is not correct. I’d likely get my luthier to do the reset, but he is very reticent. He says Robin doesn’t want him taking the necks off their guitars. So I’m kinda at a standstill with it, but I’m hoping it’ll get worked out soon.
