AS158 Guest Fanou Torracinta - C'est si bon - 1936 Gibson L12 & 1942 D'Angelico Excel

Hey guys, new guest on the channel today !!! His name is Fanou Torracinta, he’s a great young cat from Corsica. We met about 7 years ago on gypsy jazz jams etc, but never had any serious project together until very recently with « Django Symphonique » : 3 gypsy jazz solo guitar players sharing a string quartet with a rythm section, to play the Django Reinhardt tunes in a Gypsy and Classical fusion.. I LOVE THAT BAND !!
Fanou also has his own project playing gypsy jazz, be sure to check him out, they’ve recorded two albums and are working on the next one already.
We’ve decided to play a old French song from 1947, very popular back then, called « C’est si bon ». So popular that even Louis Armstrong recorded it !!
The guitars now, Fanou is playing a 1936 Gibson L12 (17 inches, X braced, strung with D’Addario nickel round strings gauge 12) and I’m playing a 1942 D’Angelico Excel (17 inches, parallele brace, strung with nickel strings round wound gauge 13).
The sound is captured by a Neumann TLM 103 and a Bluebird.
