Middle eastern fragrances sometimes more time to fully develop and get stronger, mostly because they ship their fragrances immediately after production, but a world renowned brand like Armani doesn’t release any product to the market that isn’t ready for immediate use by customers.

Hey Mikey, Fair comment old fruit. When I used to buy a Parfum concentration I expected muted projection but the longevity to be stellar. Take Sauvage Parfum or Farenhight Parfum as an example. Now I think fragrance companies are splashing the word Parfum around with a weak sauce concentration, just for marketing. Nice one for calling out these brands and holding them to account. We want a Parfum to be a genuine Parfum. Top man Mikey. 👌

I don’t think these companies are going off the concentrations anymore and just adding a couple different notes so all of them last in the same ball park. They save on cost and able to sell another flanker.

This is interesting. I've got the original Profondo and I've always said it's got terrible performance. I've never been able to detect Profondo after 2 hours no matter how heavily I spray it. I'm still curious about the scent profile though so I'll sample this just on those grounds.

Have you tried the magnetic cap 2024 acqua di gio parfum? I read alot that it is better and stronger than the 2023 version and that its pretty much exactly as acqua di gio profumo

Got the perfume today and I love the scent, haven't worn it a full day yet so will see how it performs. feels like it performs like regular Edp so far. don't like that all brands have raised their prices. I paid as much for a 50ml parfum as I paid for a 125ml edp earlier.

Yeah it is a nice scent profile for sure. I’ve always stated that. It’s just not the best proformer on me which is a shame

I really love the smell of the parfum but why the hell the most fragrances last for like 3-4 hours? If I bought and used parfums like Joop! Home, Lacoste white parfum, Versace eros I knew I get good smell for like 7-8 hours. But in the last couple of months I tried other new fragrances and their perfomances just sucks even if it is a Hugo Boss or Dolce&Gabbana parfum. How you said it lasts on clothes longer than on your skin. And yeah the metallic sweat is kinda weird.

It's not bad but out of that line I definitely prefer the regular Acqua Di Gio EDP (not Profondo), it seems more well rounded to me. I've noticed when I put it on skin the entire smell and performance seems to totally get butchered. It works way better on Paper cellulose or on cotton cloth. I personally only use fragrances on clothes anyways, but it still seems very faint for a Parfum like you said. Seeing that it doesn't seem to last well I can confidently recommend to just buy the ADG EDP instead, or the Profondo EDP, too, if you prefer that.

ADG Parfum actually holds strong to Profumo. I have a few refillable bottles so I'll stick with ADGP instead of grabbing Profondo Parfum.

On point and honest as always Mikey boy 🤘🏻love it. I always feel the sadly discontinued ADG Essenza and Profumo will be unbeatable in this line no matter what they create 🤷🏻‍♂️ so glad to have both in my collection and I use those 2 sparingly 😆 great smelling fragrance line though which is hard to dislike. I’m confused between parfam(the previous release) and this one, in terms of of scent i like both but i really consider the performance when i buy a fragrance, what do you suggest mr?

I'm finding that most designer parfum concentrations of late have really subpar performance compared to their EDP or indeed EDT concentrations. Not all, but a lot of them. They just become a skin scent after like 2-3 hours and stay a skin scent for another 4 hours, which is ridiculous! So I usually just stick to EDPs to be honest. If I pay top dollar for a parfum concentration, then I expect it to at least last 7-8 hours (more if it has denser ingredients) and not become a skin scent after just 2 hours. The companies are taking the mick nowadays, and I'm pretty sure it's all just for marketing purposes.

You know you're talking to a sheep when they say that a bad performing fragrance needs to macerate and to let air into the bottle. It's called maturation and there's already air in the bottle. It's not like the juice is vacuum... Ridiculous.

Sounds disappointing, I’ve blind bought invictus parfum for my mates birthday because he loves the og invictus so hopefully he likes it. Which adg would you recommend for 22 year old? Also review the Barbour scents would love to hear your thoughts on them

Invictus parfum is a hit mate 🔥 you could go with Acqua di gio the edp or the parfum even profondo edp is a great pick 👌🏻

Performance is really, really bad. I dont want to pay so much money. I use Bentley for men Silverlake instead. Silverlake is a copy of ADG Essenza.

This perfume as well as the new Bvlgari release you also mentioned both have Alberto Morillas as perfumer, and both are Parfums, so perhaps that's a reason? Perhaps he needs to work on the performance of his Parfum creations. I won't be purchasing. Oh and ATH Blue Fever is on the way....
