with a warm sock they hold your feet warm for a long time. But we don't recommend them for walking in cold snow or water for too long.

@@acquoofsweden9134If your socks are thick enough, you can wear those boots at ANY time of the year. A good pair of cotton socks would keep your feet warm in the winter-and dry in the spring and summer. Because black materials absorb light (which is why they’re seen as black), they absorb heat, as well-so any footwear made with black materials WILL make your feet sweat. I know summer isn’t exactly “boot weather;” however, having been born and raised in Texas, I’ve seen women wearing boots in the summer-a friend of mine works at the supermarket nearby, and I have on more than one occasion seen her wearing her thick, heavy, black cowboy boots on a cloudless, broiling day in August. - The point is that those boots look SO GOOD, I don’t see why they can’t be worn on any day of the year. It’s like you said-a good pair of socks would make a world of difference. I’ve known women who have worn boots without ANYTHING else on their bare feet-some of them ended up with painful callouses, and nearly all of them complained about how their feet would smell once those boots came off.
