Born and raised in Los Angeles in 2004, 2004's passion for music began when they were 13 years old, tinkering with music production software to make Beat for rappers. As he grew older, he released his debut album WWWATER at the age of 17. In the large city of Los Angeles, 2004 became an active member of the underground illegal rave community. In tunnels, sewers, dirt roads, forests, abandoned train tunnels, abandoned train yards, warehouses and so on. Through this experience, 2004 became addicted to Gabber and other extreme genres of hard dance music. A year later, in 2004, Ioakim and another co-founder, Ioakim, hosted an illegal rave at an abandoned zoo deep inside the city of Boston. About 300 people attended the event, which was shut down by police because it was too loud and crowded.
2004 focuses on high-energy high-speed music, typically starting at 170-200 BPM and ending at 230 BPM. They almost exclusively play chattering, fast-paced and other high-energy forms of hardcore. At times, 2004 will take a break from the relentlessly violent hardcore beats to play some Schranz and Hardtechno.
