Add wood chips/shavings to the blood buckets. Once it dries up it's great to put around your trees or if planting new trees out in the bottom of the hole before planting the trees. The feathers and innards are also great for your plants.

My first attempt at meat chickens in the spring was terrible 30 red rangers got slaughtered by a weasel after 2 weeks. What a trauma. So I can relate to your year. I had my Cornish cross processed 29 last month ,only lost one to I think a heart attack. It cost me 3 dollars a bird was well worth it to me. Good luck on your processing. Hope all goes smoothly. I am also in Michigan love your videos.
