Acro Women Trio

Another Russian trio, which ended up being second on the World Chapionships in Coimbra. I especially love the first type of tempo element they do. It is simply awesome.
Though I think their top can't weigh more than 30-35 kilos...

I'm a gymnast,artistic, I understand what it takes. You don't have to tell me cheerleading is not a sport outside the U.S, I know. But you can see the comparison with the flyer + spotters and the watered down tumbling. There are different branches of gymnastics and they are all great and they all deserve appreciation which is why I'm glad this video was put here. As I said my opinion has changed since the comment has been posted. It was MY OPINION. And I believe that I still have a right to it.

Mass is the difference between the size and body type of the atheletes. Basically if you have two big strong bases with a tiny little girl as this trio has, you are going to be deducted for it as you have an advantage over a trio with a bigger top. Maturity is if the top look young compared to the bases or can also be the preparation of the athletes. If the top is immature in her preparation compared to the bases doesn't dance or tumble as well, etc, then that is also a maturity deduction.

i thought that they couldn't possibly get a smaller op after this routine...then came the european championships. no comment. incredible set of bases and an incredible top, in both case, Worlds and Euros, but i really wonder why they insist on losing out on winning because they have such a small top. 2nd @ Worlds and 5th @ Euros...they are worth so much better.

Well my opinion has slightly changed, I feel it is more dance and cheerleading. Also gymnastics is traditionally a individual sport, think about it. You can't play football with one person. There is no tumbling. Keep in mind I am not trying to disrespect anyone I believe this takes talent and it was fantastic

Other gymnastics are individually but nothing states gymnastics has to be individual.Rhytmics as just as much dance as acro maybe even more and it is considered gymnastics.Acro has a tumbling part. Also cheerleading shouldn´t be used as comparison because that´s not even a sport,at least not outside the US,it doesn´t exist in most part of the world.Gymnastics takes strenght,agility,flexibility, etc and Acro has all of that and FIG considers Acrobatic Gymnastics as gymnastics so it is gymnastics.
