I love sps been in hobby since I was 13 years old when growing them with metal halides was a piece a cake but now people are all into LPs which I also like but after scuba diving in Red Sea I just stay with sps unbelievable. Fun Fact is Red Sea never had any bleaching event ever. I love your sps dominated reef

Thank you Mo, i remember those days! I had an under gravel filter! I think everyone thinks LPs are easier to keep and more available in shops, but some Acropora are pretty hardy once settled and grow much quicker.

It was in the phosphates and nitrates one, but they were all a bit higher than I like. That’s a good next video I think!

How much par are you getting on average?
@marinereefer16642 күн бұрын
About 250ish at the top and 150 on the glass. So not too high.

@@marinereefer1664thank you. I think this confirms I’ve been baking my frags. Your acros look amazing.
@douglasachaiba78852 күн бұрын
Surprised.... 250 isn't much... But look at your colors. Everyone who speaks about acros .... Says 350-450. You sir have your corals growth and color down. Excellent
@zulu092 күн бұрын
@ yeah that’s around what I’ve been running and my colors have made a turn for the worse
@marinereefer16642 күн бұрын
It’s been a while since I tested the Par, it’s probably closer to 300 at peak time for 4hrs. I put my schedule at the end of my tank tour video if you want to look what I run. I only run my lights at 60% for 4hrs but that’s only 40% of the lights total power, too much light puts a lot of stress on the corals if your parameters aren’t perfect, which most of ours aren’t with smaller tanks.
